This one features their Triple Tea Sundae which comes with 3 scoops of ice cream - Kyoto Matcha, Earl Grey and Thai Iced Tea. Topped with coconut, almond granolas and caramel sauce, and dusted with matcha powder for the finishing touches, it is a great indulgence, and REALLY REALLY SHIOK💯👍🏼 personally I liked the earl grey ice cream especially coz the taste of the tea really really stood out, the Kyoto matcha was rather strong tasting too. However the taste of the tea in Thai iced tea was not as obvious compared to the other 2. Had to wait a while for them to prepare the waffle but it was worth the wait as the waffle was warm and crisp. It is the perfect remedy for the hot and sunny afternoons that we are currently experiencing!

Featuring their black sesame apricot cake and healing garden tea. The cake was moist, soft and fine with the strong aroma of black sesame which also tasted a little like chocolate. Together with the sweet and soft apricots, it makes a delightful and refreshing treat. Healing garden tea is my favourite at cedele. Mild tasting, with a slight soothing sweetness which lingers at the back of my throat, it never fails to calm me down amidst stressful days. A perfect combination for a lazy and sunny afternoon when all you want to do is get away from the scorching hot sun and relax.

Have been craving their Kouign Amann FOR AGES. I just love its crispy, buttery, fragrant crust SO MUCH. The croissant is light, crisp and good too!!! And the lemon drizzle loaf cake was refreshing with the mix of sweet and sour flavours. I can never ever resist the pastries from Tiong Bahru Bakery, it’s one of my favourite bakeries of all time! Tom yum soup has just the right sour and spicy kick with lots of seafood. The fried minced beef with hot basil leaves was good. The beef was tender and it had the aroma of the basil leaves. Thai style fried drunken kuey teow was special too, really tasty with generous amounts of seafood and vegetables, it had wok hey too. Petai with prawns were good too, love how the beans were well cooked and had an aroma to it. Overall a good meal!

This one at @heapsengleong serves kopi with butter (also known as kopi gu you). The coffee here is rich, strong and aromatic and the butter, though you can only taste a little of it, is smooth and added a slight aroma to the coffee too. It was quite an interesting experience especially since it’s hard to find kopi gu you in coffee shops these days and you hardly see people using charcoal stoves too. Besides the price of the food here is very very reasonable. It’s one traditional coffee shop that you can visit if you’re into traditional coffee and the local culture. Though do note that there might be long queues and waiting times. But you can simply take the time to just chill as it’s like time slowed down (something you hardly get to experience in our busy modern day lifestyles).

Also picked up some pastries for breakfast coz I have been craving their Kouign Amaan for a while😜 Honestly, this is one of my favourite bakeries although their prices are on the pricier side coz the food and drinks are of good quality. This 340kcal chicken rice is a lower calorie option, leaving you guilt free if you’re trying to eat light and watching your calorie intake. What’s more, from 5/8 to 11/8, they are having a National Day promo for their Tofu Cauliflower Fried Rice/Kung Pao Chicken Rice with Egg/Chicken Rice with Cucumber Salad, at $5.40 each! The Yuzu Ramen is their specialty. The soup was refreshing, it was savoury with the citrusy taste of yuzu, a very unique and interesting flavour. We also ordered the tonkatsu ramen which was below average (in my very personal opinion). Honestly, I think there are other places serving much better tonkatsu ramen with a richer broth than this one. The gyoza was ok. Conclusion, I would just order for the yuzu ramen, can give it a try if you haven’t, though not everyone might like that savoury citrus combination(it is something that you gotta try to see if u like it or not).
