The sheer amount of truffle goodness on this is ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜Œ and the fact that they are so thinly sliced makes you less guilty that you are shoving them into your mouth fry-after-fry. One thing though I felt it lacks is salt; apart from the taste and aroma of truffle, these fries are lacking a bit of seasoning. Otherwise, portion is good and makes for a great sharing appetiser! Also, don't leave it for too long like us or a pool of oil will start to form at the bottom of the pile!

Mum was not shy to show how much she loves the tau sar paus here- she had 2.5 (two and a half) of the soft delectable Chinese sweet treats to herself. Just one of our guilty pleasures, the upmarket tau sar paus here have not once disappoint since we discovered them a few years ago.
Today we paired it with the red latte as a recommended set but found the red latte sweet. Because we hardly like to pair sweet treats with sweetened drinks we will be sticking to plain straight tea/coffee the next time (;

I was excited to see that the menu at what used to be my regular haunt, had been revamped and expanded. After much deliberation, I went for this vegetarian item.
Just to clarify, the "rice" in the bowl is not rice but tiny bits of shaved cauliflower. It's something I've been wanting to try for a long time so I'm really pleased to finally do so today. Better yet, I really dug the way it's prepared here by having been pan-fried a little. It's then combined with some grilled zucchini, capers and a grainy mustard-based dressing, and strewn generously on a bed of mixed greens. Laid neatly over all that were grilled slabs of chewy, salty halloumi cheese, sliced eggplant, thyme-roasted tomatoes and a fabulous housemade hummus. Altogether, they formed a hearty, healthy and delicious vegetarian meal.
I would have this again in a heartbeat but because I'm just as keen to try the other new items on their menu, it's going to be a hard decision. Oh dear ๐Ÿคฃ

Having known that the owners were from Melbourne, I knew I had to get a coffee Australia was known for. Perfect microfoam and flavour, just like the coffee I had in Melbourne (and that's saying alot, because Melbourne is known for their coffee!). Best of all, it doesn't immediately hit you with a caffeine spike, but keeps you going all day.
+ Totally digging the vibes of this place. Will definitely come back to try their food, but for now, I know for certain it's a great place with great vibes and great people :)

Hello, my lovely.

This Breakfast Burrito is the ultimate hangover cure. It's absolute goodness in every bite.

Imagine generous shreds of rare roasted Angus rump, fluffy scrambled eggs, quinoa (yay, healthy eating), black beans and chipotle mayo all wrapped up in a toasted tortilla. Yum. I'd recommend you add a chunk of salsa rojo and a dash of Tabasco sauce with each bite. Result? Hangover, gone.

It's on the weekend brunch menu which is only available on weekends, 10am - 3:30pm.

Earl Grey Yuan Yang ($8 nett)

A good solid cuppa. The lavender is fragrant but the real star is the solid strong coffee... Even the last sip didn't feel diluted. I hope I can sleep tonight ๐Ÿ˜‚

Needed somewhere quiet to read up on some notes for school and headed down to the far west where I had the entire cafe to myself.

New on the menu and created by Chef Shen Tan is the Mille Crepe Ondeh-Ondeh (or Kueh Dadar Mille Crepe if you refer to Chef Shen's Instagram). Apart from the slightly thick Pandan crepes, this was absolutely enjoyable and replicates both the Kueh Dadar and Ondeh-Ondeh quite closely; layers of cream and desiccated coconut drenched in Gula Melaka alternates within the entire cake and is actually nicely sweet without going over the bar. Good to share amongst two and works very well with the nutty Iced Long Black I ordered as well.

Easily my new favorite cafe because of this dish!

Delighted to find a Quinoa Bowl at Salad Stop. Makes eating healthy a lot more fun than just plain salads alone.
