Really missed the American BBQ I had in US so was excited for this. It was really pricey. This and a side of nachos cost us about $90 for 2. The chicken and the ribs were good but the beef seemed a little dry the day I was there.
Strangely it's no longer on their menu and you have to call to make a special request for it. Yet, so many tables had it so I don't understand why they took it off the menu.
The pastry was light and flaky which allowed the beef to be the star of the dish. I'm usually not a fan of foie gras but the foie gras which was stuffed inside went really well with the dish. Loved it.
Lol. I've eaten so many times at BFF but the food is really cheap and good. A really light dish but well executed and I love how there were so many components to it.
Selection was not super extensive but everything tasted really flavourful. The naan was a little oily but it was the perfect vessel to scoop up all the sauces and dips.
From the Zamza stall. Tiny bit overpriced but the portion was pretty huge. Always onboard when a dish comes with an onsen egg. 👌
From the Maki Masho stall. Not cheap at $15.90 but I have to say that taste wise, it's just like the rolls you get from Sushi Tei and The Sushi Bar. Really generous with the mentaiko dressing. Take it that you're profiting from not having to pay GST and service charge.
Perfectly crisp waffle with fragrant pandan ice cream and gula melaka. Match made in heaven.
Everything was delicious and the ambience was lovely.
$18 for beef ribs is a really good deal. Tasted nicely charred. Wish there was more of a side with it though. There was a bagedil puree but it felt more like a "sauce". It needed something more substantial to go along with it.
$6 for a large portion and it was good for 2 people. Really enjoyed the toasted coconut flakes on the ice cream, tasted almost like kuih bangkit.
The steak was really tasty with a good fat to meat ratio. It was only $15 which is really great for cafe pricing.
