Shabu Shabu The Japanese first class wagyu option is $72.90++. The meat is really tender and fatty and the staff are helpful. We preferred the yuzu stock. Mix your own condiments for more flavour. I also really enjoyed the vegetable curry on Japanese rice and the konnyaku noodles (shirataki). We also ordered sake and added it to our stock. There is a 90 min limit! But we ate our coconut ice cream (included in the buffet) standing near the cashier lol. We were still happy.

For good and affordable shabu buffets They have a range of buffet prices with a range of meat quality. We had the Standard Course which was $24.90 and the beef was pretty good. The soup bases are quite unique and tasty as well!

Hokkaido Scallop ($24++). Just wondering.. With the departure of Chef Louis Han @seokhyunhan_louis from Kimme, would food still be as good? 🔸 Pictured in his creation of Hokkaido scallops, with yuzu vinaigrette and sea mustard. Progressive Korean While the food was generally good, we found ourselves asking what exactly is progressive Korean. Perhaps I’m not too in touch with the Korean flavours in different regions, the dishes felt generally good but I didn’t think they were particularly ‘Korean-ish’. Having said that, I did enjoy the items we ordered. Picture features the grilled squid. Presentation is really cute and I liked the texture of the squid, which complemented the very subtle flavors. Dish at the back is the fried cauliflower, can feel the starchy batter, but I guess it’s to absorb the sweet chili sauce. Meta, Thevar and Kimme falls under the same group. While I found kimme the sleeker sister, Thevar wins my heart with their food! Time to try Meta next!

Another great meal trying the new menu of kimme, which has a strong focus on korean food. We had the Smoked Eel Kueh Pie Tee, Butter Kimchi Fried Rice, Charcoal Grilled Squid, Wagyu Beef Rossini with Foie Gras, Pan Seared Barramundi, and 3 helpings of desserts - Hotteok with Walnut Ice Cream, Yuzu Sorbet with Ginger Panna Cotta and Grape Bingsu with Makegoeli Sorbet

Burpple voucher is only for 1 item If you’re planning to use Burpple, take note that it is only for 1 applicable item. Prior to ordering, I had informed the staff that we were using it and they did not mention this. Upon checking the receipt and clarifying, they said that it was clearly stated in the T&C and only 1 voucher could be used for every 2 pax. I tried searching for this but no where was it stated. After looking at recent reviews from other outlets, it is clear that this wasn’t just due to my lack of conscientiousness. Overall, wouldn’t recommend this place mainly due to such practices. Food (coffee and brunch) and services were average at best. Burgers were almost bland and at this price point, I would say that there are a lot of better options out there. Won’t bother going back.

Perennial Favourite 🌟 Our party of 3 ordered the cheeseburger, which was good, because the patty was moist and juicy. The truffle mushroom pizza was great too, not too overpowering in terms of the truffle taste, yet sufficient to complement and bring out the flavours of the mushroom. The fish tacos is always my favourite to order because of how delightful the fruits and the fish prove to be refreshing. Ideal for sharing.

Not Really 1 For 1 $15 for the bowl but it's not 1 for 1. The deal is $28 for 2 which comes with an ice lemon tea. So it's normal price with a drink

mango tango also got their sirloin steak burrito bowl and taste wise both were not bad but they changed their burpple 1-for-1 terms so now u only get to choose from a menu of 4 items tho it does come w a choice of either ice lemon tea/ thai milk tea… paid $28 in total so idt its rly worth anymore 🥲

Grilled Salmon Super Bowl Healthy tasting bowl with fresh Ingredients! Salmon was cooked well and different components looked vibrant in the bowl. Couldn’t get the 1-1 as they changed their terms and conditions, not as worth anymore as 1-1 limited to very few items for a total of $28 Taste: 3/5 Presentation: 3.5/5 Worthness: 3/5

decent sandos aesthetic cafe vibes but the sandos were quite small, would be good for a tea break pit stop. tried the losing nemo (salmon) sando but the amount of salmon given was quite little so would advice getting the others instead.

Expensive & Small Ordered the pork katsu and salmon nemo(?) sandwiches, and they are very very expensive for the original price of around $18 each, and even with the burpple deal it still wasn’t worth it. The pork katsu was almost impossible to chew as it was really tough, and the salmon was very average. One positive is that there is a really nice ambience and people can go there to do their work and enjoy some coffee. Not recommended for the food, will definitely not be coming back Rating: 2/5 🌟

Smashed Avo Toast This was $20 and totally not worth it. It’s really creamy but the creaminess doesn’t come from avocados but something else they had mixed in which makes it really surfeiting. The slice of bread was really thin as well. Thank goodness we utilised the burpple beyond app

Great Hangout Place With Quality Food Once again, thanks to #burpplebeyond, chanced upon this cheeky cafe! The food exceeds our expectations where I tried “steak and no eggs” but was not sorely disappointed given the potato side was so delicious- crispy on the outside yet soft and creamy on the inside! The steak was medium rare and all was well! Not just that the service was really good as the staff are so friendly and attentive! Refilling our bottles even after we finished our meal and was sitting down there to chill and chat! Overall a really good hangout place that I highly recommend 😋

Passionate chef with above average taste and effort to be difference ordered the burger and beef! i love all the details that go into it, even simple things like the salad/garnish the chef wanna enhance the taste to make sure they get finished too! the beef is definitely decent enough to go back again! The Moment Grey Milk Tea Here we are with another bubble tea brand coming from Taiwan, located at the side of China Square near to Telok Ayer MRT Station. This is one of their signature drink, since they carry their brand on the naming of the drink as well. With shades of grey in the drink, which they added bamboo charcoal and fresh milk. You could taste the hint of charcoal but not too strong.

Winter Melon Latte With Lychee Jelly This was a very refreshing drink with the winter melon being not too sweet and the sweetness coming from the chewy lychee jelly.

the moment of truth Quietly tucked at the side of a building outside TA MRT. The drinks concocted by this bbt are not the best, but passable. Without Burpple, I find it a little overpriced. Overall a great deal for the convenience and variety.

Magic A very interesting name for a cup of white coffee. It is actually double ristretto topped up with milk in a 5oz cup. Alternative milk options with oat or soy is available.

Pulled Pork Burger I was here early in the morning for something at Kampong Glam, and found this brunch place that opens from 9am during the weekends. Their pulled pork burger was not what I would expecting. The pulled pork is actually very spicy, something to take note for those who doesn’t want any heavy taste meal for morning. But I personally still enjoy it a lot. The pulled pork burger stuffed with purple slaw, sunny side-up and brioche burger bun. Accompanied by tater tots.
