heartland brew nested below a condo, great cozy cafe with nice deco and quiet atmosphere. went on tuesday 5pm, there was no one. perfect serving of pastries and decent 7/10 beverages. recommended! good place to take a breather/do some work. cafe promotes a great social cause as well.

Iced Taro Latte & Ice Matcha Latte Drinks are alright, very value with 1 for 1 only. If full price there are better ones out there. Taro latte is a little too sweet, matcha latte is the recommended one if have to choose.

Truffle Beefy Shrooms Great burger, enjoyed it a lot. Simple plating with fries. Very value for money only with 1 for 1 mains price. Nothing too extraordinary, but nothing to complain about either.

Soft Shell Crab Pasta Will definitely recommend the soft shell crab pasta as the portion of soft shell crab is a lot. Very hearty meal, pasta portion is adequate to make you filling. Very value for money with 1 for 1.

Hammydinger - Hammydinger ($14) Turkey ham and chicken ham were slightly thick and goes well with the egg. The tomatoes were juicy and the egg was the same as above (creamy!!). We only had the plain bagel because all other bagels were oos:( The plain bagel was..plain but I love how they toasted it and it was still crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. It would be better if the bagel had more taste.

Garlic Salmon Garlic Salmon ($15) Fresh, creamy and buttery Hokkaido Milk Scrambled Egg with a generous serving of smoked salmon! The egg was thick and creamy, and the cheese was melty and stretchyyy. Plain bagel was soaked in the truffle mayo sauce so it was quite soft and toasty!

Garlic Salmon Bagel (KAI KAI - $12.90) (UP - $15) I finally understand the hype for this bagel shop located at curbside crafters and everyone included the boothers they also order while doing booth at level 1 and 2. I just like their fragrant butter bagel paired well with their ingredients (Garlic Salmon). I enjoyed their marinated garlic salmon and it's freshly made daily and got no bad smell from salmon. Their scrambled egg was quite not that oily but creamy when serving in hot.

Charashi don A hidden gem

Bara Chirashi Don Haven't been here for a long while and one thing for sure is that they have taken their presentation up a notch. The Bara Chirashi Don was served in a ceramic white soup plate instead of a bowl. It was gorgeous to behold as it's plated beautifully and vibrantly coloured from the assortment of diced sashimi and topped with ikura and edible flowers. Interestingly it had blocks of steamed egg instead of tamago.

Don (Lunch) (~save $20) Looking for a fusion take on the traditional Japanese Izakaya? IPPAI should be your next go-to joint! Their menu features a wide variety of dishes ranging from dons and sashimi, to grilled meats and seafood. If you’re on a lunch break, you should most definitely opt for their Chirashi Don.

Smoked Salmon Cheese (closed sandwich - $8) my friend search for cheap eats w/o gst and svr chg and it's found at far east plaza level 1. I felt that cream cheese was quite too much for me but the bagel was half soft and hard texture. overall its just hit on budget meal if you want bagel, pancake and other cafe cravings.

FAVORITE BRUNCH PLACE The drinks are not too bad as well, the banana latte is quite interesting with clunks of fresh banana 🍌 inside which somehow works?! and coconut americano ☕️ for $5 is a big cup ✨☺️please stay forever! finally found a good value and quality without too much frills (well balanced) brunch cafe to frequent 😌💓

Soufflé! Another is their soufflé pancakes without being too fancy but still good flavor options and most importantly despite the crowd, it is still done FLUFFY GOOD💯!

One for one dessert Around $20 for two desserts which can feed quite a lot of people. The desserts weren’t special but I guess worth coming by for the coffee and vibes of the place. A good place to chill if you had dinner nearby!

One for one coldbrew Am a fan of their white cold brew. One for one deal for this is pretty nice! Was able to use this coupon on a Sunday too.

Voucher limitation 1-1 cakes cannot be used on weekends. This rule is not found in T&C though.

Western Otah Cutlet Rice The portions were sufficient and after the promotions, it’s very worth it to come here.

Black Kut Teh Lion Mane Hotpot ($16.90) I use 1 for 1 burpple voucher for main dish to redeem. I opt out noodle for side dish. But I felt that not much "pepper" taste as opt out for less spicy in flavour. They give a lot of ingredients inside hotpot such as lettuce, fungi mushroom, lion mane, tofu and sliced carrots. I did enjoy the experience for mini hotpot while they cooked ingredients to the boil. Their you tiao was quite crispy and can dip into the soup broth.

Pesto pasta Not a fan of the pesto sauce, tastes too nutty and not really of Basil. Also not a fan of the mushroom used and it’s a little too thick. Just not a fan of this pasta — will probably order another dish next time. However, with burpple deal - got two mains for$20.65 which is a great deal. Food portion is on the small side too. Especially for the location of this place. Will come back

Beef pho 𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐟 𝐩𝐡𝐨 (3.5⭐️; $22) - One of the pricier renditions around but justified by the generous portion of tender beef ribeye. The broth was clean while retaining hearty bold flavour.

Sourdough Banh mi 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐡 𝐦𝐢 ($15/2 petite) - First time trying sourdough rendition and it added a tangy savory depth to the usual baguette. Airy and crispy, and loaded with delicious fillings. Would recommend the Krabby (4.2⭐️) rendition with crunchy soft shell crab, kombucha pickles, siracha chili. Signature pork (4⭐️) was more classic with crispy pork belly.

Bulgogi Beef Banh Mi ($18 for full) The Bulgogi Beef Banh Mi is packed filled with caramelised bulgogi meat and creamy mayo. The meat was tender with a sweet and savory sauce, and a fresh crunch from the sliced cumumber, tangy pickled vegetables and fragrant cilantro. This was a more hearty and savory banh mi as compared to others.
