Blackmores’ Cube Roll 🍴DINE OUT🍴 📍Burnt Ends, Dempsey📍 ... Can't believe almost a month has past since we dined at Burnt Ends... 😐 It was tough getting a reservation towards the end of last year, but we were lucky to have scored one! We had an absolutely amazing dining experience. From small plates, main courses, to dessert🍬, the food was exquisitely presented and we loved the combination of flavours. Do try their Blackmores' cube roll🥩...it's THAT good! 😌

Lunch Set This was part of their 3 course lunch set where we opted for the truffle mushroom soup as the appetizer and ribeye steak and barramundi fish for the mains. we ended with the burnt cheesecake and honeycomb ice cream as desserts. the barramundi fish was delightful. skin was crispy, the fish was so smooth and i enjoyed it with the mashed potatoes. the sauce was on the saltier side. the steak was served with thyme butter and thick cut fries

Crème Brûlée ($16) a good end to a lovely meal. the crème brûlée was super soft and eggy. i love it!!! the sugar was also caramelised nicely

Mac and Cheese ($22) the main reason why i decided to visit bedrock was for their mac and cheese. the macaroni was not the typical curved shaped kind, but rather it’s the skinner and longer type. cheese was nicely burnt to give a nice crust and was not too salty as well

Claypot Chicken Rice Winner of Epicurean star award Singapore for best asian chained restaursnt 2015. Tried their claypot chicken rice, although i guess it is not their specialty. Spiced rice, a bit fried rice like with chicken and mushroom. Itself is a bit bland, needs help from the soy sauce 3.5/5

Claypot Chicken Rice Despite the amount of chicken it actually tastes ok. Definitely much better when u mix in the soy sauce though. The rice was soft but not mushy, and the chicken was tender too

Pork Wrap 3.5++ Grilled pork is decent and I love their soy dip, but the serving is much smaller than expected

Inexpensive Vietnamese Street Eat Our repeat visit to Mrs Pho Bussorah as their grill items are really good, in particular the Iberico Pork & the Mummy Meat Balls which are outstanding, they do the char & seasoning just the right way we like. We order the Beef Pho & Com Tam which are the commonly known dishes locally. Overall, if not for the tiny table for two which is squeezing, the overall experience is good place for a non frill eatery for quick fix of Vietnamese Street Food.

Vietnam Comfort Food We try the 2 signature dishes, Lemongrass Pork Chop Rice & Dry Vermicelli with Spring Roll, Meat Ball & Lemongrass Pork Chop plus few grill items - Iberco Pork Belly, Fermented Bean Curd with Asparagus, Mama Meat Ball & King Mushroom. All items are nicely prepared, tasty & homey. Portion are generous too. Pleasant environment after the restaurant moved to Bussorah Street. Will return.

Some were great authentic Viet food! You know your food is going to be good when the Vietnamese servers start taking your orders quite angrily 😂 and true enough the food here we had was very decent and definitely above average! It was an authentic experience as well as there were Vietnamese people dining around us! To me, the Vietnamese Spring Rolls ($10) are a must order, as the crispy outer shell is just so inviting. The ones here are quite huge, and I'm glad they were stuffed with quite abit of pork meat. Pair them with the sweet chilli sauce and you got yourself a wonderful side 😍 The Rare Beef Noodle Soup ($9.50) was really comforting and the broth flavour was quite deep! Noodles were cooked just right and beef slices were tender. This is one hearty soup to have on rainy days! The portion was big as well. Their Beef Stew with Baguette ($10) is also a must order. The beef cubes were really tender, and it was SO flavourful. It was both sweet and savoury and it was such a good stew to just dip the bread in. Speaking of which, the baguette or banh mi was perfectly baked; crispy on the outside and fluffy within. Give me that and the stew and I will be a happy man. Dishes mentioned above are recommended! The rest were okay. I'm definitely coming back here if I'm around in the joo chiat region!
