Had the Chicken Kiev (S$11), which is actually a Chicken Cordon Bleu, and a taste of the Fish Schnitzel. Don't think the place is worth the good reviews that it seems to be getting. Perhaps the place used to be good, but that is way back in the past, about 10 years or more.

Buttermilk (Chicken) – S$5.90
Classic (Beef) – S$6.40
Portobello (Mushroom, Vegetarian) – S$7.50
Spicy (Chicken) – S$5.30
Double (Beef) – S$10.20

The burgers were great, though a bit basic (or ordinary if you prefer). Buns were on the disappointing side, but it wasn’t bad enough to take away from the experience. Worth checking out if you are nearby in the area. Though McDonald’s is right beside this, I would take this almost every single time.

Cafe mizu is a restaurant that doesn't quite know what it wants to sell. Despite being in a good location I often see that this place just don't draw crowds, and with reasons.

S$6/8/10 options available.
Tai Hwa executed the Bak Chor Mee well with their generous toppings and vinegary interpretation, but I can't say that I am willing to travel and wait in queue just to eat it. Interesting, but not enough to persuade me away from my neighbourhood stall. BCM purists might dislike the lack of braised Mushrooms.

S$3.50 for a rice bowl with Thunder Tea. A beginner friendly version of the Thunder Tea rice, it might be milder than other stalls. Good to try if you are in the area.

Day's special. From a HDB Kopitiam at block 526. Previously located at 517 Jurong West.
Prepared fresh, as I was given a peek of the crate of live lobsters. Meat is succulent and enriched by the sweet, tang tomato sauce.
Bowen's give fantastic food, and it seems like their food is always adjusting to consumer tastes. The problem is the location of the place is pretty hard to get to, being 13 mins walk away from Lakeside MRT. If you do visit I do suggest ordering the specials, as they seem to do different things from duck confit to grilled lobsters to wild boar pasta. A hidden gem indeed.
Though a whole lobster looks impressive on the plate, it means that the small morsels of meat from inside the legs and claw knuckles are hard to extract.

Mine came with set.
Fries are lightly spiced, crisp and home. It style. Some say it's like mcdonald's Twister Fries in taste.

$11.00 for 2 sets using Fave, U.P. S$17.60, including Fries and drink.
Taiwanese fried chicken that's claimed to be the best from Taiwan, using only fresh chicken.
Salted egg is pretty sweet, but has good salty egg flavour. Chicken is crispy and well marinated, also doesn't taste overly salty despite having the sauce.
Earl grey (S$2.50 UP, add S$0.50 for drink change in set) is a bit different, being sourced from Sri Lanka. The bergamot is a bit stronger than I am used to for Earl grey.

Apple juice found in Cold Storage. Made with Aomori apples only with no other ingredients. Naturally very sweet and very good balance of sourness. Seems to taste even better when served with ice or super cold. Though I don't drink a lot of apple juice, this is the best that I have drank.
There's also a green version that's slightly more sour (made with different apples from Aomori).
Apparently 7 eleven exclusive, imported from Thailand. Doesn't actually have much coffee taste, though there is sort of a coffee like after-taste. Much of it tastes mostly like Diet Coke, though there is sugar in it. Whether it works like coffee I don't know, since there is supposedly twice the caffeine and half the calories. But taste wise it isn't anything special.

If you're looking for a spicy challenge, you won't find it here. How much you like this burger will depend on how much you like McChicken.

S$3.00 as an additional item
Their pies are great but the croquettes not so much. Expected a creamier, filling with more ingredients, especially at this price.
