Champion Bolo Bun🥖 Went to Champion Bolo Bun 2 weeks ago and got their Classic with Butter ($5.55)😇 Overall ratings 8/10! Bun was pretty good and portion size was decent, just found it a little pricey😅 Would want to try other buns next time tho!

Classic ($4.50) Soft and pillowy with a buttery, crisp, crust. On the sweeter side, this bun was larger than expected and filled me up nicely. The crust could be crisper and I thought adding a slab of butter would be good, but overall I can see why queues form for this on weekends. Ample seating spread across 3 floors.

Creative Cocktails in a Chill Setting This restaurant is an exciting and unique spot - perfect for a fun night out. The cocktails here are crafted with a 'wow' factor and an unexpected creative twist, which makes the experience both entertaining and memorable. I tried the Lucky Charm cocktail. The waiter, Thomas, shared the fascinating inspiration behind the drink. Apparently, the drink symbolises good luck! The drink was refreshing and strong, and I appreciated the overall theme of the drink. For the main course, I had the Barramundi Fish and Chips. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the sambal tartar sauce added a tangy and delightful kick. The fries were perfectly crispy, which complemented the dish wonderfully. What made the evening more enjoyable was watching Thomas present the cocktails that other diners ordered. The creativity of the cocktails added a lively and unforgettable touch. I could see that other diners were enjoying the show when I got my cocktail as well. I am already looking forward to coming back to explore more of their innovative drinks and see just how far they can push their creativity!

Most unique cocktail experience Truly unique experience! I like hopscotch for the delightful experience behind every cocktail. I ordered the Cinematic and it comes in a glass dome with a theatrical reveal. I greatly appreciate the server for explaining the story behind the history and connection to the Capitol. I also got the beef, which was tender and juicy. The potato mix was something else-it complemented the dish very well. Overall, definitely coming back with friends, especially to enjoy the cocktails.

Underrated bar with great food and drinks The drinks here are crazily creative and fun, and the food was surprisingly good. The service staff were really nice also, taking the time to explain the inspiration and flavours in the cocktails. The place is also very comfortable and cosy, so it's a nice place to relax with friends with good food and even better drinks!!

Weekends are my go-to days to explore the different coffee houses in Singapore and this visit brings me to Fahrenheit Coffee Singapore, which is housed within the SPA CLUB along Beach Road. The café has a simple setup with an outdoor and indoor air-conditioned seating arrangement for you to enjoy your coffee and light bites. Good attempt and fabulous ideas, just in need of some refining. I’ve always wanted to try Cassia JKT’s canelés, so knowing that Fahrenheit Coffee carries them now meant I was gonna spend a fortune there 🥲 We tried their Kaya, Coffee Butter, and Coffee canelés, and we found none particularly worth mentioning. I’m a big fan of kaya so I really wanted to like that one, but while the flavour was very promising the texture was completely like kueh. I’d even compare it to ambon lol I swear the texture is that similar. This dense, kueh-like underdone texture’s a lot more evident in the Cookie Butter canelé, with the centre completely congealed into a solid custard. I also couldn’t really taste much coffee or cookie butter in the other 2 flavours, and together with the slightly subpar texture we found these completely lacklustre. I noticed Fahrenheit also microwaves these to serve, and that caused the crusts to become a lot soggier; perhaps heating it up in a toaster would be better.

Lovely space, decent coffee Honestly I thought Fahrenheit Coffee was a rather pretty and chill space, but the slightly confusing spa-mix-french-mix-r&b playlist had us like wuuuuut 😶 The coffee though: very very decent! We had their Iced Black and Hot White, both of which were alright. Their beans lean towards the acidic end — which isn’t my preferred flavour profile but is still aight — the Iced Black citrusy and acidic while still boasting a good boldness. That however meant that their White fell rather flat, since all that acidity was neutralised. Still, good microfoam and texturing of the milk so save for my personal preference this was a rather well-pulled cuppa.

Cinnamon Roll The long weekend got me craving for some of @AntherSG Cinnamon Rolls! A delicious cross between a cinnamon bun and a croissant, the sugar-dusted pastry had the perfect amount of flakiness that is well-balanced with its chewy-soft center. At $6 a pop, the cinnamon fragrance of the bake was prominent but not too overpowering in my opinion as you still get that lovely buttery sweetness. The beautiful laminations also creating that fabulously crisp texture. So good.

Cinna-croissant The ingenious move of combining a cinna roll & croissant is a perfect matchmake in heaven! 😍 A flaky, crispy exterior, paired with a soft, fluffy & sweet interior makes this a delish pastry to have with coffee, or just as a snack by itself!

Vanilla Rice Pudding Caramel Danish $7 Pastry was good. Flaky outside and fluffy inside. The rice pudding was abit bland though. Not bad but not my fav.

“Cacio & Pepe” & “Ham & Cheese” What a delicious mouthful, Chū and Co’s “Cacio & Pepe” ($9.50) had such a fun and tasty (tbh foolproof) combo - with slightly charred Japanese sweet corn, Camembert, Candied bacon and Pecorino cheese. The sweet-savoury toppings were truly the highlight for me but the dough acted as a great vessel as well. The base was relatively light, not all that dense or greasy. Felt pretty premium as I was surprised by the small edges of soft Camembert hidden under the strips of cured meat. I also got the “Ham & Cheese” ($9.50), crowned with sliced Sweet Potato, Honey Baked Ham and Brie de Meaux. Lacked that oomph for me but a great buy on a whole as well~

Passion fruit kouign amann 7nett? PSA NO MORE moka kouign amann Passion fruit cream was pretty good, i havent had too many kouign amann, but this seems like a good rendition. The bite is not too much, it's very crispy outside, and theres a cake like texture as u chew, but very buttery so it gets jelat before you are done Not bad, can satisfying cravings. Thankfully the top wasnt too sticky, didnt really stick to our teeth

Kaffir lime guava strawberry 5.5++ This is a masterpiece. Properly crispy and airy on the top and dense enough with some chew at the bottom of the pastry. The sauce is absolutely stunning too. Super strong, incredibly fruity but the strength is cleverly balanced out by the cream Well thought out, well executed, high quality ingredients and very satisfying. Not to mention it's not too greasy Must try. Get this to takeaway tho, why spend money just for eating there

one of the most affordable grain bowls I’ve had! I built my own LITE ($7) bowl and chose Tofu Portobello as my protein. It’s fried till crispy while retaining tofu’s soft, silky texture when you bite into it. Very nice! Mushroom Cous Cous was kinda clumpy. Miso Beet Jam was sweet, something different from the usual sharp beetroot hummus served at grain bowl shops. Other toppings I got were Broccoli w Burnt Almond, Tempeh Fries, Agave Walnut & Toasted Oats w Parmesan Cheese.

Hawker Wagyu Rice Bowl 🍚 Ordered the wagyu build-your-own bowl via grabfood from the rice bowl boys!! Whilst I really love the wagyu here, the bowls are honestly rather small and I would have hoped I ordered more ingredients instead. 😅😅 tho this is alr the largest regular sized bowl!!

Rice Bowl Came across this shop when walking around the food centre looking for my lunch. It is glad to see young people start to have their stalls in this big food centre to cater to more people. Just like those rice bowl places, you get to build your own bowl. Starting with the lite bowl for $6.50 which includes 1 base, 1/2 protein, 2 sides, 1 sprinkles and 1 sauce.

Braised Pork Rice Set | $8.50 A set that comes with braised pork rice, flavoured egg, and braised cabbage. The braised pork was fatty, which gave a nice soft melt in your mouth texture with every bite. Very nice braised flavour, and unfortunately for me it was way too fatty to my liking. I enjoyed the flavoured egg, but the braised cabbage was so soft and good! Overall, worth it for the price, though it would definitely suit people who prefer fattier pork in their luroufan! authentic taiwan bowls! we got the signature 3 bowls - oyster mee sua, sesame oil chicken rice and lu rou fan, along with brown sugar bubble fresh milk included in the set (19.9)! my favourite was the sesame oil chicken, as the rice was well flavoured and oily enough HAHA tasted like shallots and the chicken was very flavourful!! the other two were normal, tasted authentic

Yummy authentic Taiwanese food The rice bowls came in mini size but they are quite filling. The braised pork rice is yummy and we ordered the egg that goes very well with the rice. I usually don’t eat oyster or intestine but I was happily gobbling down the oyster and intestine with my mee sua. The tofu with century egg is yummy too - cold tofu with pork floss topping makes it even tastier. My only grievance is the Taiwanese sausage that costs $4.20 (a bit pricey for a few slices!). Love the decor and ambience here.
