Tomyum Steamboat Steamboat is a must for raining day. Thus, we had tomyum steamboat. It is a thai restrauant at town selling yong tau foo with different soup base. A great experience having yong tau food steamboat. The soup is great just that the portion is a little small if you are a big eater. Each steamboat set cost $18. Order the chicken wings at $5 where it is super juicy and crispy. Overall, it is a great experience!

Foie Gras & Scallops Don Found this place at the very last minute and turned out to be a good find, will definitely go back. . [Foie Gras & Scallops Don] Foie Gras and Scallops weren't fragrant enough and the sauce which was a tinge of tart overpowered the bowl. I typically prefer my Don salty so it wasn't exactly satisfying. . [Kabuke Wagyu Bowl] My friend chose their wagyu bowl which proved to be the right choice, wagyu was juicy and the fragrance of the truffle held everything together. . [Crispy Tori Kawa] Crispy and fragrant, the honey ponzu adds a nice contrast. . The place looks nicer in photos, a little shabbier irl (like you can tell the chair is taobao) but still a nice atmosphere and service is so good! Dec Monthly Promo ($24++) All this for only $24++??? Yassss plsss. The negitoro was especially fatty and flavorful. Rice is not as sour as I like it but that's personal preference. They have regular lunch rice bowls too (from $20++) as well as a chefs selection lunch set for $38++. Always a good sign when there are many Japanese customers. Same row of shop houses as sushi mitsuya.

Wagyu Steak Don ($38) From 6 to 28 Feb, Kanda Wadatsumi is running a monthly promotion for Hon Maguro Tekka Don Set Lunch ($30) and Wagyu Steak Don Set Lunch ($38). These set lunches include appetizer, pickles, salad and miso soup. Enjoy the tender and buttery wagyu steak with thick and savoury sauce. The fats were so evenly spread that every bite was so sinfully delicious. 😍 Try before the promotion ends because it is not a regular menu item. 😉

Wagyu Seiro ($40) For those seeking for healthy, balanced and delicious meal, try Wagyu Seiro set lunch at Kanda Wadatsumi. Dipping the ponzu sauce added a light citrus flavour that compliments the steamed wagyu beef, mushrooms and assorted vegetables that were perfectly steamed without being overly cooked. 😋 The set lunch comes with rice, appetizer, salad, pickles and miso soup. 😉

Pork Beauty Collagen Jjigae Lunch deal for 2 pax @ $19.90! Nothing beats having army stew on a rainy and cold day! Using collagen stock simmered over many hours, I was certainly looking forward to the rich taste of the stew. The portion was a little too much for 2 pax, with sliced pork, cheddar cheese, cheese sausages, cheese tofu, enoki, toppoki, sweet potato noodles and cabbage! The spiciness level was just right as well. The waiting time was quite long though, so do be prepared to wait during lunch time!

Kimchi Gochujang Chigae Yummy! Kimchi Gochujang collagen broth + chicken 12.90 for 1 pax portion 5.00 for 1 Rice bowl/ ball (small) Not exactly a cheap option so will reserve for more special occasions only.

Korean Steamboat I came here 3 times in 4 months because it was my comfort food and in my opinion value for money! If you choose the beef and pork option, every portion offers generous ingredients of sliced beef and pork, cheddar cheese, cheese cocktail sausages, cheese tofu, napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms, rice cakes and sweet potato starch noodles. You can also choose various soup bases such as kimchi or yuzu. An individual portion is about $12 and a double portion is about $25, super worth!

$30 nett For Two Don Set Popped by Gyunami for lunch with my friend, and the standard of their Signature wagyu roast beef don is still as good as when I had it 2 years back! Portion size may look small but underneath the slices of tender wagyu roast beef, there’s a lot of rice. The highlight is definitely the thin slices of wagyu roast beef. It’s super tender, perfectly medium rare and goes very well with everything! Gotta appreciate the artful arrangement of the meat slices on top of the rice too 💯 The set comes with complimentary miso soup – taste was okay, nothing too extraordinary. There’s not much lunch crowd on weekdays so you don’t have to queue 😊

Nourishing Soups I have seen several postings on burpple about this humble soup and steamed rice stall that prides itself in using premium ingredients . It’s not ye easiest to find and I had hope that they would have a better location so that more people can benefit from their nourishing soups. I had the melon and barley chicken soup and it was indeed nourishing and not overly seasoned. Their house special is the chicken soup broiled in a whole coconut husk but that was sold out . My partner had the lotus root with lean pork and peanuts and I must say that I was very impressed to see no fat or oil residue floating atop the soup surface since most stalls use pork ribs which tend to be quite fatty - this tells me that they make an effort to Blanche the pork before cooking the soup.

Old Coconut Chicken Soup Novelty, I guess. The fruit obviously imparts its distinctive sweetness to the soup and you can tell it takes hours, but it's not spectacular given it's pricier.

Double Boiled Old Coconut Chicken Soup Having boiled soup for lunch today due to strong cravings from the rainy weather these past few days. The soup had a nice mixture of sweet coconut & herbal taste, which i paired with organic rice. Overall, a yummy & healthy combination! 😋

Apple & Pear Hand Pie ($12++) The most simple looking things often surprise by being the most outstanding. Like this Apple & Pear Hand Pie at Crackerjack. Apple & Pear Hand Pie | 12bucks Slow cooked apples and pears deglazed with a splash of Plantation Rum, encased in their housemade pie shell, served with a scoop of Butter Pecan Icecream. The combination of sweet, creamy, crumbly and temperature difference (hot pie vs cold icecream) was delightful and it pulls you in for second serves.

For When You're On A Budget And Really Hungry With A Buddy Or Two Overall 8/10. Gripe: ingredients were hardly warm at all. Btw the picture was taken after the portion was split in two and after a hungry student ate three bites. Three options for equally huge plates turned up at $14.80, $16.80 and the ultra $19.80 with varying amounts of ingredients. We went for the $16.80 and boy was the plate heavy to hold and heavy on the stomach. Sure, the curry was pretty okay and the rice was atypically japanese. The stars are the ingredients, two fried ebi, three pieces of Japanese fried chicken huge karaage style and two rows of tonkatsu chicken katsu. Such was the portion of ingredients that two people couldn't finish it there.

Huge Portion Of Curry Rice For 2 Japanese ultimate original curry [$19.80] which includes 1pork cutlet, 1chicken cutlet, 4 pieces of chicken karaage, 2 ebi tempura, 1 potato croquette and 1 flavoured egg accompanied with a load curry that was to die for. Only downside was the fried stuffs were already lay out outside of the stall so they weren't freshly out of the fryer hot

Steak Rice Bowl Value for money lunch bowls here at Five Ten. I got the steak rice bowl which includes excellent tasting steak slices, onsen egg & beansprouts. Everything in their menu are priced at $5 & $10, which makes this place a value for money option for lunch at cbd area.
