Soft & juicy but too bland though
😏
Jjajang Myeon ($12) Black noodle always a comfort stable
πŸ˜™
Beef Army Stew ($38) Pleasing to the eyes & satisfying to the palate
πŸ˜‹
Banana Makkoli (was $20 now $15) added that extra kick to our yummy meal

Korean fried chicken, that is really quite similar to chicken popcorn bites. The star instead, is the bubbling army stew in the background. Surprisingly, the squidball inside has none of that starchy blandness of typical factory-made squid/meatballs. It's flavourful and springy (made in-house?). Couple that with ramen noodles, melty rice cake slices, a gochujang-kimchi soup base that gets more intensely flavoured/saltier(:P) the more you stew it - the spoons just kept going.

Definitely one of the better, if not, the best army stew soup I have had

Seafood pancake thickest I tried :/ mostly flour and barely seafood or chives. It was supposed to be a starred dish

Ordered kimchi seafood tofu soup, fried pork dumplings and seafood pancake .

Their fried pork dumplings had micro bits of pork in it and mostly noodles in it. We asked the waiter - "isn't it suppose to be pork dumplings". At first he said no it's actually Fried dumplings and does not contain pork in it. We thought we were mistaken - however after looking at the menu, he came back to us with an excuse that actually there is some pork in it "minced pork". We felt cheated.

Even the seafood pancake was so thick! It was thicker than 2 of the seafood pancakes I ate in the past Combined!!!!

Very disappointing :((

This dish was simply shiok and filling. Besides chunky chicken thigh pieces, there were also rice cakes and potatoes. The tomato soup-like gravy was sweet and the spiciness kicked in later and I couldn't stop dousing the gravy onto my rice.

Ordered the version with instant noodle. Certainly comes with a variety of ingredients. Costs 38 dollars which is a bit pricey to me for a 2 person share. Decent taste though. 3/5 rating.

Ordered quite abit for just two persons. Really enjoyed the Glass Noodles and Tofu Soup with seafood. It's a must try! Skip the bbq dishes which we felt wasn't worth it among all the dishes. Overall a great dining place!

The gravy tasted a bit sweeter than I expected but the chewiness of the noodle is good. Suitable for vegetarian(with egg or without). 13$/serving

The spiciness is milder than I expected which is a good thing 😝. However, the rice cake a bit hard to chew(it depends on each person's taste). The portion can be served for 1-2 person(12$).

The taste is definitely right but it was unfortunately wetter than we like it to be.

This is one very spicy dish, but I still enjoyed it thoroughly. Instead of pairing it with rice, I mellowed down the spiciness by wrapping the chicken slices and onions with lettuce, which u can request from the restaurant at no charge.

With one whole chicken and lots of potato chunks, rice, and noodles, this stew can easily feed 3-4 people. The soup is so sweet and flavorsome that we helped ourselves to countless bowls of refills. If there's just 2 of you, order the smaller-portioned Samgyetang, which according to the staff, uses the same broth but just without the potato, rice and noodles. Yummy!

It's pretty hard to go wrong at Togi, even though they boast an extensive menu. Special mention goes to the individual servings of porridge that come with the rest of the banchan; it's simple, comforting, and flavourful. Get the Seafood Pancake to share - crisp on the outside and loaded with seafood and spring onions, paired with a dipping sauce that adds that extra kick. The Japchae is chewy, sweet, savoury, and extremely addictive. If you're there in a group, order the Army Stew to share! It's a massive spicy hotpot loaded with ramen, sausages, luncheon meat, tofu, and vegetables.

Yesterday's dinner to satisfy mine and @soyyyl's cravings – a thick tomato-ish stew laden with all things processed: instant noodles, sausages and luncheon meat. Yum!

Yummy refillable sides (though too full for any refill), kimchi fried rice with pork, pancake with seafood and spicy toufu seafood soup. Under $40 for 2 pax. #korean #delicious #yummy

In my opinion, the best Korean restaurant in sg :)

One of my all time favourite Korean food. Budae Jjigae or "Army Stew" which is spicy kimchi stew with ham, sausage and ramyeon. This dish was supposedly invented during the war times as soldiers do not have much fresh produce during that period which explains the usage of processed food in the stew.

Cost: S$35 for a small portion, sufficient for 3-4 people

Spicy beef soup. Didn't quite like how they shredded the beef, but loved the soup.

Beef bulgolgi. Very big portion, quite authentic taste.
