second time!!! 🍝 used burpple 1 for 1 for the mains - had the grilled salmon pasta (honestly 10/10 for us) & the steak pasta! salmon pasta was such cheesy goodness i regretted not getting it for myself! was eyeing my friend's dinner the whole time 😆😆😆 the steak was not bad but the dish as a whole was js quite mediocre. the sauce was rly salty & the aglio olio js wasn't very fragrant. would not order again total spent $28.80 for 2 dishes after discount - pretty worth !!!

1-1 dinner ordered the chicken parmigiana and grilled salmon pasta. the portions were really big that we almost struggled to finish it so definitely worth coming to try with the 1 for 1 deals! paid $28.80 total for the 2 mains. the chicken was nice and tender, with cheese on top that realy complemented the flavour:) tater tots was crispy and yummy!

1-1 Dinner at Sarnies! First time at Sarnies to celebrate a special occasion :) Angus Beef Stew was really hardly and super delicious!! (Super tasty and flavorful gravy and nice portion of beef and sides). Glad the place feels super casual, cozy and has great ambience. Highly recommend the Breadcrumbed Fried Portobello mushrooms. Staff Haziq, Kim and Navi are super friendly. Can't wait to come back!

Chicken rice bowl Bought the 1 for 1 set meal on burpple! Worth it and value for money. Good portion size and filling as well. Will definitely patronise again!

Doco rice bowls Had the beef and the shroom curry bowl Love the curry and mushroom. Good choice for vegetarian friends. Portion size is very substantial. The miso soup also a good pairing with the rice.

Biggest con job The Burpple offer was for a set meal for 2 at $98 plus taxes. Offer was to take $40 off. The meal shoved you with too much food so as to justify the price, and when the bill came it was $116+after the Burpple voucher and taxes. Who needs so much food for lunch except for the outlet to force sell you as much food as possible? And you could not even have a 3rd person join in coz they said the Burpple offer or the restaurant disallows it. Please NEVER go there. Don't be scammed like me.

Babi Assam ($19.90) The restaurant’s signature pork belly simmered in an aromatic tamarind stew, served with tau kwa and chillies. A very flavourful dish with the spices really shining through. The pork belly was super fatty (more fats than meat honestly, and whether that is a good or bad thing is up to you), it literally melts in your mouth. Burpple Beyond also has a set meal deal here - we didn’t use it this time as we decided to order ala carte.

Tenderloin | $40.50 A small restaurant located along the busy street opposite i12 Katong, Stirling Steaks served up one mean steak. Went for the tenderloin which was executed well, a nice sear that was delicately marinated, and unsurprisingly, very tender. The side of truffle fries were a tad too oily, but still delicious. Would definitely come back here with the Burpple 1-for-1 deal - so worth it! Rate:🌟🌟🌟🌟

Affordable steaks at a friendly little place Though I’m not in the area often, if I feel like steak I always consider this charming little place. High quality steaks at affordable price. On this visit though, the prices had gone slightly higher ( but still pretty good), but was a little disappointed that it had lost the char that I loved so much. This was the place that made me restart my burpple membership. Super duper worth it with the Burpple 1-for-1!

Disappointing wagyu and wings We ordered a 220g wagyu steak under 1-for-1 mains, and it was quite a disaster. The mashed potato tat came with it tasted bland and the texture was completely off. The steak was tender but with lots of tendon. The truffle fries was rather plain too. The fried wings tat we ordered was soaked in oil and left us with a queasy tummy. Personally I feel $64.50 is way too expensive for this quality and I will not come back again.

Prawn Carbonara Fettuccine ($21.90) Al dente fettuccine coated in a thick, creamy, and umami-rich sauce bursting with deep oceanic flavours and a hint of onion and garlic for added aroma. The cream sauce is marvellously indulgent, with a rich seafood essence that makes each bite irresistibly delicious. The prawns are exceptionally fresh and bouncy, adding a tastisfying texture to the dish. Finishing the noodles is just the beginning, this is the kind of sauce that makes you want to lick the plate clean.

Smoked Duck Pizza ($19.90) This fusion pizza offers a unique blend of flavours from various culinary influences, giving you a taste of several cuisines in a single bite. It features a tomato base topped with onions, capsicum, chilli, mozzarella, smoked duck, duck sauce, and bonito flakes. The first bite might leave you wondering about the flavour mix, but subsequent bites draw you in as the pizza’s bold flavours come together. The rich taste of smoked duck and duck sauce dominates, slightly overshadowing other ingredients like the bonito flakes, yet the overall taste remains delicious. I enjoyed the thin, crispy crust, which added a tastisfying crunch.

Chilli Calamari ($16.90) Tender squid coated in crispy batter, lightly dusted with chili powder and served with tartar sauce. The texture was nice, though the flavour was a bit bland, as the chilli powder was barely noticeable. Thankfully, the tartar sauce provided a flavourful boost.

Hawaiian Pizza Crust is the thin type, ingredients and flavours are good.

Just Pancakes Set ($8) Hidden little cafe in AMK which serves mains, desserts and drinks. Pancakes are a bit thin but they go well with salted butter and maple syrup. Ordered a flat white for the set and the coffee is decent for the price. Staff are friendly and nice. Do note that the cafe has limited seats so it may not be suitable to host large groups.

Dip their garlic and butter naan into that sweet and spicy gravy and wash it down with a cold refreshing beer.

Butter & Spice is a hidden gem in the East Coast area, serving a variety of tandoor and unique Northern Indian cuisine. For starters, we got the Gobi Manchurian ($13) of battered cauliflower mixed in a sweet, tangy and spicy sauce with lots of diced onions. Their signature Holy Butter Chicken ($17) is a must-order as the spiced tomato and butter mixture used to cook this dish is by far one of the better ones out there. You will experience a myriad of flavours from the creaminess to the sweetness with a tinge of spice as you mop up every bit of the sauce with a naan. The other unique chicken dishes include the Chicken Mirch Masala ($17) that will appeal to diners who want a bit more heat or the Chicken Dahiwala ($17) that is prepared with a yogurt mixture that adds touches of creaminess and tanginess. Curry Curry!! Curry here is really tasty and definitely good Indian cuisine food. We ordered: Mattar paneer & Palak paneer (vegetarian & in picture) and chicken tikka Masala & Holy butter chicken (chicken) and 4 naan & 2 rice Favourite was the butter chicken 💸: $93.90 Food was good but really pricey & don’t really save much with the burpple deal…..

Good ice cream Premium flavours @ $5.20 with burpple beyond deal. We got hokkaido strawberry milk and apple yakult, flavours that are less found in other places. The former was mild and creamy, while the latter was a bit sour but refreshing. The serving was generous and enjoyable.

Double Scoop Besides the photo-worthy neon signs, Icebar offers a limited selection of gelatos with unique flavours. They are also open late till 2AM on Fridays to Sundays for you to get some late-night ice cream. The gelato here is priced at $4.20 for a classic scoop, $5.20 for premium, $6.20 for super premium flavours and additional scoops for $3.70. I went with their recommended flavour of grape Yakult (premium) which was supposed to be light on the palate while Binggrae banana (premium) for something milky. The grape Yakult flavour feels light with a very faint grape Yakult flavour. I would love it if they add more grape Yakult into it. The Binggrae banana was creamy and milky, something expectable and not too far off from the actual beverage. Thanks to Burpple Beyond, we get to enjoy 2 Scoops for the price of 1 ✌ (U.P $5.20/scoop)

Black sesame gelato cup 6.2nett The black sesame flavour really was strong. Their gelato is less sweet, more sandy less indulgent. Pretty good execution

1 for 1 Ice Cream w Cone (by using KAIKAI) I almost forgot to redeem the ice cream from celine gelato via kaikai. I ordered Classic ($0) - Chocolate Hazelnut + Premium ($0.54) - Matcha Almond. But good thing that I managed to visit before the expiry date for the voucher lol. I felt that gelato was quite thick but smooth texture and didn't melted it off so fast. Chocolate Hazelnut was quite strong nutty and bitter taste whereas Matcha Almond was quite light nutty and bitter taste.
