Biggest con job The Burpple offer was for a set meal for 2 at $98 plus taxes. Offer was to take $40 off. The meal shoved you with too much food so as to justify the price, and when the bill came it was $116+after the Burpple voucher and taxes. Who needs so much food for lunch except for the outlet to force sell you as much food as possible? And you could not even have a 3rd person join in coz they said the Burpple offer or the restaurant disallows it. Please NEVER go there. Don't be scammed like me.

Babi Assam ($19.90) The restaurant’s signature pork belly simmered in an aromatic tamarind stew, served with tau kwa and chillies. A very flavourful dish with the spices really shining through. The pork belly was super fatty (more fats than meat honestly, and whether that is a good or bad thing is up to you), it literally melts in your mouth. Burpple Beyond also has a set meal deal here - we didn’t use it this time as we decided to order ala carte.

For Your Fries Only For the final dish of the night, we simply could not leave without the one pub classic that’s arguably the poster child for pub grub. Here at @harryssingapore, the fish & chips are now Drunken Fish & Chips ($21++), and it’s ideally paired with a pint of ice cold beer. A big, beautifully battered piece of white fish is served with Harry’s stellar spiced fries and some coleslaw for a little crunch.⠀ ⠀ For the life of me I can’t remember what fish they use, but it’s the firmest one ever used in fish and chips. Even after cutting and stabbing with a fork, the fish stays intact and doesn’t disintegrate, which makes eating a fuss free affair. The batter is delightfully crunchy thanks to the beer & vodka added in, and the fish itself is simply seasoned and benefits greatly from a dab or two of the tartar sauce on the side. I wish the coleslaw was least sweet and more savoury and sour to provide a little palate cleanser, but it’s fairly functional as it is. After a long day at work, a pint of beer and a serving of Harry’s Drunken Fish & Chips will get you feeling chipper.⠀ ⠀ Thank you for hosting us, @harryssingapore & @burpple!

A Burger With Pizazz & All That Jazz Harry’s Jazz Burger ($22++) has been remastered yet again, and I have no idea which permutation this current one is. This time, however, the remastered version was a great success. I remember the patty of previous Jazz Burger being too densely packed and resulting in a tough chew, but this one has no such problems. Juicy buns sandwich a juicy, easy to chew patty with jalapeño cheese sauce, melted cheese & bacon with some mushrooms, lettuce & tomatoes, and this jazz solo is a hit. I couldn’t discern any jalapeño in here, but the cheese sauce and the slice of melted cheddar make this burger extra creamy & rich. The mushrooms add extra umami & weight to the burger, and it’s almost the perfect burger to hold in one hand while your other hand nurses a pint of beer. I’d definitely love to see a double patty option in the future, because double the patties double the fun.⠀ ⠀ Thank you for the invite, @harryssingapore & @burpple!

A Cut Above Your Regular Pub Grub And now at long last, we finally get stuck into some proper pub grub at @harryssingapore, starting with the Argentinian Ribeye ($29++). Now this is a proper steak dinner, as the sizeable steak is backed up by Harry’s indecently irresistible spiced fries and a salad dressed in a balsamic reduction because we’re going healthy. The ribeye steak is tastefully tender and well marbled with intramuscular fat, and it’s done the only way steaks should be done: a majestic medium rare. It’s sufficiently seasoned, but there’s a savoury steak sauce that’s been muddled with a little chimichurri on the side if you want that extra flavour fiesta. The vegetables are fresh with a pleasing crispness to them, and those fries are crispy and seasoned sensationally.⠀ ⠀ Thank you for the invite, @harryssingapore & @burpple!

Amazing modern French food Nice cozy, intimate setting. Staff were really attentive and friendly. They did a great job explaining each dish. Food was brilliant. Loved everything in their set menu - freshly toasted bread, artichoke, pasta, pork jowl and dessert. Definitely would come back again

best crab (and rice) you’ll ever taste! We recently visited Gunther’s on a weekday evening for dinner, and we really loved the food. The ambience, service and quality of food made the entire dining experience enjoyable. First, we were welcomed with warm bread and butter - simple yet so delicious we asked for more! The cold truffle pasta with caviar and king crab leg with tomato rice were eye opening for both us and our tastebuds, highly recommended! Desserts also did not disappoint and our tummies were extremely pleased when we left. We’ll be back!

Fun drinks and good food Was looking forwards to their drinks, but the food was surprisingly good! The pangium beef bourguignon was perfectly simmered and mashed potatoes were velvety. Love their tangyuan inspired cocktail and highly recommend the calamari as well

Main and cocktail We went during a weekday dinnee and ordered some mains and cocktails. Heard of their rave reviews on their cocktails and decided to give it a try. it was super fanciful and we liked it. The chilli lobster linguine was our favourite, tasted like chilli crab but in a pasta form.

Cozy atmosphere with interesting cocktails Every cocktail had a story, which was a nice touch. Really well presented by the waiters when serving too. Food was great and atmosphere cozy

Mapo Tofu Rice | $7.90 Delibowl is a halal chain which prides themselves on serving Sichuan delicacies, a fare quite often difficult to find without pork and lard. With their Express chain, it aims to serve it fast-food style, where people can grab a quick fix of Chinese food when needed. This Mapo tofu rice really packed a punch, and a good option if you’re craving something spicy. I thought it was pretty decent, nothing overwhelming but it did deliver its job to make a simple Mapo tofu meal. Rate:🌟🌟🌟

Marmite Chicken Set This place is quite subtle for all I know. BUT the food was really GOOD and worth the PRICE you pay! JUST LOOK AT THE AMOUNT OF CHICKEN! 🍗 Not forgetting the taste, really mouth watering. Would go back to have it again. Rate 4.5/5

Bento Lunch 2 veg 1 meat ($8.80) so cute the rice is in the bottom container, but this may be not as ecofriendly?? haha idk for veg we got the mapo tofu & cabbage (for both), for meat we got the butter chicken & beef stew in tomato sauce cabbage was nice! overall nubbad, quite worth w/ 141 but a bit ex @ normal price ALSO u can get a free drink if u do a survey (qr code on the table) and their ice lemon tea is GOOD, one of the nicest ones we’ve ever had

Mantou Set (5pcs for $4) This is definitely a must-get, because how better to soak up all the sauce from the crab than to pair with crispy mantou 🤤. Definitely not affordable food but it's worth a try with the quality and interesting fusion dishes they have to offer here! Would totally come back for their crab cooked in other sauces! Also, do remember to reserve else you'd prob not be able to get in since they are full-house most of the time! Overall Rating: 8/10

Scorched Vermicelli (Chao Da Bee Hoon) ($32) They have a smaller portion for $18, and these charred noodles come with prawn, squids, pork belly, eggs, chaipoh. Thought this was a decent altho not amazing one. There's definitely crispier and better ones I've tried.

Capricorn ($16) Definitely a must-order, these lightly battered corn kernels were really crispy, and coated with a thick layer of strong salted egg yolk I loved it. Extremely addictive and great for sharing.

Sticky Date Pudding ($15) my friend praised me to order right dessert as it's quite not that jelak but it's quite filling tbh. my friend did eat finish half of date pudding even he already feeling full. But date pudding and toffee sauce was quite warm after serving. But date pudding was quite nice, strong aroma in smell & taste and complemented well to eat with toffee sauce. I did enjoy it more than chocolate blackout cake.

Double Chocolate Blackout Cake ($18) I kinda regretted that we didn't eat finish the chocolate blackout cake tbh. :") but its taste jelak until I just give up to eat :"( But overall experience I really grateful that my friend accompanied me to eat ps cafe for dessert. :") but then it's not worth it to order double chocolate bc it's not that great for 2 to 3 people pax. But the chocolate cake and sauce texture were 100% for luxury and also atas feeling that I would not explain further. Do i come back for eating chocolate blackout cake in future? probably not for now.

Mushroom & Truffle Flatbread Pizza ($24) Harry's Mushroom & Truffle Flatbread Pizza is a perennial favourite according to my fellow #burpplers at the recent #eatup. Flatbread is probably the best way of describing the pizza crust. It is thin but not shattering crisp like thin crust pizzas. It also has a more doughy texture. The flatbread pizza is topped with cheese, aioli, button mushrooms and of course Truffle oil, giving it a savoury and aromatic flavour. This pizza is one of the mains offered under the #burpplebeyond 1-for-1 deal and based on what I have heard from the other #burpplers, you should definitely make this one of your mains! Value for money katsu sets! Had the Chicken Katsu Kuro Kare ($17) and the Classic Rosu Cheesy Katsu ($18). Each set came with free flow white rice, cabbage, pickles, and miso soup. The charcoal black curry was surprisingly god, full of umami and flavour. Though it could use a little bit more spice, this was easily solved by the shichimi provided at each table which you could use to provide even more oomph! The chicken katsu came in three huge pieces, but I preferred the Rosu pork katsu instead. The pork loin was juicy and meaty, and paired perfectly with the crisp and light batter - not once did I taste any greasiness! However, I did not really take to the melted cheese and would have preferred the katsu without. Overall, a really delicious and (very) filling meal at just $42.

NEW PORK! 🚀 @tonkatsuenbitonsg ‘s Hokkaido Shirakaba Pork is available now starting from $22++ per set with free flow rice, salad and soup! … The pork source is from the cooler part of Hokkaido that feeds on Shirabaka (white birch), which is said to have stress-relieving properties 😳 don’t we all need some 🫣 … distinctive difference between Enbition and other tonkatsu places is the attention to their sides! added arugula into the usual shredded cabbage and swap out basic miso with premium tonjiru soup with hint of medicinal touch ✨ … Highly recommend their Rosu Katsu, Salmon Katsu & Ebi Fry Combo Set ($25) comes with deep-fried Hokkaido pork loin, ebi, salmon katsu ‼️ which is super duper filling 😂 … They have new plant based menu using Truffle plant-based tonkatsu ‼️ which i will love to try next time! also shoutout to their: KATSU SANDO SET starting from $11 and 1 for 1 Highballs👍 … Value for money with high quality ingredients and attention to details and consistency 💗

Takeaway Tonkatsu ✨First Plate Reveal of my New Home 🏠💗✨ took away @tonkatsuenbitonsg newest Supersized katsu cutlet (100g each) , with chicken ($6.90 nett) and pork ($7.90 nett) options, and is available in 5 different flavours – Mentaiko Mayo, Ichimi Togarashi, Nori, Furikake Mayo and Cheese 💯 … paired them with some fresh japanese cucumbers and you are set for a late-night snack or after work dinner ✨ fast, affordable and convieniently available at all their outlets ✨

The Pesado ($14) Papi's Tacos offer a simple line-up of tacos that comes in a set of two. The Pescado has fried dory fish, purple cabbage, pickled carrots and smoked chipotle aioli, wrapped in soft flour tortilla. It was a mixed of vibrant flavours and textures as you get the crunch, the freshness and tanginess from all the elements, with a slight heaty spice from the sauce.

Burrito de Suadero ($24++, Bowl), Tacos de Suadero ($16++), Tacos de Pollo ($13++), Tacos de Pescado ($15++) Second time at Papi’s and it’s a casual alfresco setting at the Seah Street outlet. My favourite taco out of the lot was the grilled fish tacos because it proves a point that you can have a flavourful fish taco without having to deep fry the fillet. The evening’s soft corn tortillas came in different hues for the different sets we’ve ordered and made me curious if these were in-house made, overall the Mexican food here fare better on the flavors scale that masks the quality of ingredients at a palatable price point.

The Gringo As tacos are not sufficiently filling for us, we decided to order burritos and The Gringo caught our eyes due to its unique name! This dish is a chicken-based tortilla wrap with marinated chicken, cilantro rice, black beans, pico de Gallo and cheese! The chicken was slightly spicy and added some flavour to the burrito and we liked it! However, the flavour of the chicken and black beans basically overwhelmed the tastes of the other items, as we did not taste any cheese in the wrap. We also liked the fact that the burritos here were wrapped very tightly and served in a separate paper wrap, which made the dish really convenient to eat. Conversely, we would have created a huge mess out of the burritos served at many other restaurants! The serving size was pretty generous, however, and we were completely full after finish the burrito. It was way more filling than it looks! The burrito costs $15++, which is pretty standard for restaurant-grade Mexican fare in Singapore and you can be sure that you will get a food coma from this. 😁
