DIY Mega San Salad ($9.90) Maki-san can be a hit or miss depending on how generous (or stingy) the staff is. The serving for this order looks generous and I’m very pleased especially at how thick the salmon sashimi is 😍 My combination includes : - Soba - Roasted baby potatoes, kimchi, grilled chicken strips, roasted shimeiji mushroom, tuna mayo - Almond flakes - Soba sauce - Salmon sashimi Most of the ingredients above are suitable for a salad bowl except maybe the tuna mayo.. Will choose that for sushi next time!

Mega San Salad ($11.90) Got this delivered the other day, and got to say I’ve never been more disappointed 😢😢 Portions were measly (ordered 2 types of CHICKEN aka cheap meat you can afford to spam) and definitely not worth at this price. Got the soba salad with Definitely don’t remember ever being so sad eating Maki-san, but won’t be having this again for a long time to come 😥😥

Cross Section of a really cheesy Philly Cheesesteaks Philly cheese steaks at Bishan's Kim San Leng kopitiam is a big throwback to having the deal at Philadelphia. Wanted to try this for awhile, and the signature cheesesteak has melted cheddar cheese comes with onions and chewy beef. ($5) It's a little smaller than the usual Subway but does well in meeting all your savoury craves. Hope that it's business is as good in a kopitiam setting too - where there's so many competition from all the signature local dishes. Glad that bishan is having more diversity

Goreng Pisang Split I am sure most of us have heard and enjoyed a banana split but how about a goreng pisang split! The goreng pisang split is Swensen's Singaporean take on the old American favourite by substituting fresh bananas with deep fried batter coated banana fritters. It was surprisingly enjoyable but if you think ice cream is sinful enough, this dessert is probably going to make you wince. But I mean we only live once right?

Chilli Crab burger The chilli crab burger completes Swensen's triumvirate of National Day Specials. It was unfortunately the weakest link as well. The soft shell crab was greasy rather than crispy. I am personally never a fan of soft shell crab burger to begin with because it is troublesome to eat without using your hands and its definitely gonna get messy. The sauce couldn't stay on the soft shell crab and was basically dripping all on the plate.

Chilli Crab pizza The chilli crab pizza was also one of Swensen's National Day seasonal offering. The pizza crust was rather dry and overly bready and kinda reminded me of a frozen instant pizza. The toppings though saved the day as the mixture of chili crab sauce, crab and cheese just could not go wrong. Be warned though, the sauce somehow tasted more spicy on the pizza!

Prawn Cakes My benchmark in selecting the best thai food, prawn cakes. There were whole prawns inside each ring and they were all fried to a beautiful golden brown. Juice was oozing out of this treat and is surely a repeated order for me. Can't recall the price but trust me, it won't disappoint!

Garlic Chicken Tenders CALLING ALL GARLIC LOVERS 🧄🫶🏻🥰 Chicken is coated with what I think is a seasoned batter used for most fried thai food. The killing point is the fried minced garlic sprinkled on it! NO WORDS JUST TOO GOOD! Can't recall the price but trust me, it won't disappoint!

Seafood Glass Noodles A huge shout-out to the fat and juicy prawns that came with the noodles. Perfectly seasoned and no greasiness. Can't recall the price but trust me, it won't disappoint!
