Gallop Bistro: Hidden Cafe with surprisingly good Gula Melaka Milkshake Stumbled upon this cafe while exploring Pasir Ris Park and was surprised to find that both their Gula Melaka milkshake (creamy and thick) and prawn aglio olio was really good!

Truffle Scallop Pasta $26 for 3 of these. It is so good that the other 2 portions are in my tummy.

Roasted Red Bass [$28++] Fish was fresh and the potato with mushroom hash was great. Mushrooms were fragrant and the fried enoki added to the crunch! Enjoy this meal!

Pork Knuckle Portion was big considering the price vs others’. Very crispy cracking, but it was difficult to cut through the cracking though. This is compared to other places’ pork knuckle crackling. In Ng opinion, Not one of my favourites for pork knuckle.

Beautiful people, food and memories Lovely place that my family and I love to spend our weekend mornings after our stroll in Botanic Gardens. Thankful for polite and friendly staff there. Kudos to Janice and her team!

Forest Mushroom Soup With garlic bread. Nice garden setting, with occasional chickens roaming about. 🐓

Nice ambience, mediocre food. Was here on a rainy Tuesday Afteroon. Had their Homestyle Pancakes ($16.50) and Matcha Latte ($7.50). The pancakes were a tad on the drier side and the serving of fruits wasn’t enough for all 3 pancakes. The Matcha Latte though was great, rich and not too sweet, perfect for me. There are a lot of chickens and birds in the area and if the outdoor tables aren’t cleared fast enough once a patron leaves, the birds flock there for a feast. And more often that not tables are left for a good 10 mins uncleared so birds are just everywhere at the table beside you. I stood waiting at the “please wait to be seated” for a good 10 minutes before any staff even approached me (the place was not full). The staff who served the food and drinks though were super friendly and pleasant.

Green Curry and Omelette ($10.90) lunch time sets were really worth it! the egg was thick and really fluffy. green curry was really lemak as well!

Spatchcock Chicken As we came in group, so we also gotten this as ala carte to share. It is a grilled whole chicken with signature rub, served with sticky rice and tamarind jaew. The grilled chicken itself was juicy and tender.

Lunch Set C This is one of the popular lunch spot for the CBD workers here, as it was almost full house when I come for lunch on weekday. The lunch sets are available between 11am to 3pm. There’s total of 4 lunch sets to choose from, which each consists of different items. I gotten the set c, which comes with green curry chicken and mini street omelette. A great portion for one person I would say, the green curry and omelette was tasty.

Skewers I guess lotus root and beancurd skin are rarer. Broccoli ftw.

Sambal Fried Rice Their carb dishes are a bit stingy so I often have to order multiple. Taste-wise it's okay.

Moonlight Horfun Hmm quite got standard.

Truffles Scallop Pasta ($27++) 😍 This dish doesn't disappoint and is so pleasing to the eyes. The portion size is good too. Definitely a must order!

Chicken Katsu Curry Had the Chicken Katsu Curry ($19.80++) and the portion is big. It is quite decent but I think other lunch item they have is better

Generous portion of Meats Ordered the Yakitori Don ($19.80++) and the meat given is generous. There was Yakitori, bacon & minced pork in it. Is the most value for money in my opinion. Will come back again to try other lunch deal which recently expanded

Pork Bowl Lunch Set Had the pork bowl lunch set ($19.80++) and it was the best among all I have tried so far. Pork is not salty and and flavourful. Also, not forgetting the 2-3 free flow sides that we can have. Really delicious and worth it

Salmon Steak $25 Great taste, value for money. Best location at boat Quay. Fast service and smoking friendly. 4 on 5. Seating is not that comfortable

Not your usual fish & chips, but whole red snapper that is freshly filleted and battered in an old age Ale recipe. The fish meat was firm with big flakes and not oil. However, you may spot some bones. It is served with straight cut skin on fries, homemade mushy peas and tartar sauce. Perfect with a ice cold beer on a lazy weekend night. . Fish N Chips at S$25. .
