Going as far as to call this my fave apple tart Aside from how lovely the rosette is, this apple pie is nothing short it stunning. Thinly-sliced apples, tart and still retaining a bite, tucked into a bed of moist frangipane and, of course, Tarte's fantastic pâte sucre. It's pretty, it's yummy, and it's so so addictive. Do yourself a favour and keep the doors locked as you try this, cause you won't wanna share.

Chocolate Soy Bliss & Strawberry Soy Bliss ($3.60 each) || @Jollibean_SG . We tried Jollibean's new summer drinks! The chocolate version was topped with oreo bits, while the strawberry one came with real chunks of strawberry. . I preferred the fruity strawberry one. Imagine drinking a strawberry milkshake, but minus the guilt. Great choice for those who are lactose-intolerant (ask for yours to be without creamer). 👍 . Tiramisu & Rocher Gelato Chances upon this humble gelato stall (La Creameria Gelato Italiano) while I was walking around at Scape. Easily one of the best gelato in Singapore! Texture and taste are both perfect. And reasonably priced too

Made from Grade A non-GMO soy beans from Canada, @jollibean_sg’s soy milk ($1.70 for cup, $2.10 for bottle) has been my kind of drink. ⭐ You can really savour the rich fragrance & nutty flavours of the soy beans & the drink does not taste diluted at all. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 . Absolutely love their thick mee chiang kueh generously slathered with peanut paste or red bean paste ❤❤❤, but those can get really filling. 😂 If I’m looking for a lighter snack, my go-to choice is their Stay Crisp pancakes ($1.40)! Perfectly crisp & aromatic from the browning of the thin pancake batter, there is also a good amount of crunchy peanut shavings or sweet red bean paste inside. 🤤🤤🤤 Both were equally enjoyable! . Craving for a healthier dessert? Give their Classic Soy Pudding ($2) a try 😍😍😍 Featuring a pudding version of beancurd that is still silky smooth, I enjoyed the firmer texture so that I can relish this goodness for a longer time! ✌🏻 . Zichar Had early reunion dinner at this Kopitiam zichar place. At $318 per table of 10, really value for money. The ambience however is a set back as you can imagine this is a Kopitiam in a HDB with no aircon, smoking uncles milling around and drinking beer. Taste wise, the dishes were all average, except the Fragrant Cured Meat Rice which was a tad too salty and the Sharksfin Soup was a bit fishy in taste. And I mistook the Marmite chicken for Sweet and Sour Pork🫣 But with inflation running rampant, this reunion dinner set is really value for money. Perhaps the food is less important than the occasion itself. This is the first time since the pandemic for the extended family to gather for a reunion.

Good vibes with good selection of drinks and snacks Intended for beer only but ended up having snacks (sort of dinner) here. Ordered the Lok Lok ($1.50 per stick, min. 5) 17 options (no beef option) with Thai green chili and spicy chili which was decent fried items, wait time was quite long during dinner time - not sure if it’s because it’s from other eatery nearby. The tater tots with mayonnaise served on the side ($8) - decent pricing for the portion. The beer gao (Guinness + white beer) per pint $10 (happy hour) & $12 (regular price) had 20% Guinness + 80% white beer ?tiger, was decent also. Lucky to have came earlier 5ish PM therefore so not crowded and easy to get a table. Nearing dinner time the bar was packed. Love that they have a beer pong table, 2 dart machines and pool table. Played the darts where you would need to place $10 refundable deposit for the darts. Board games and card games are also available with refundable deposit. Do note that there’s only 1 handicap toilet within the premises however more toilets (male and female separate cubicles) outside near the exit where the pool table is. Service took awhile as they were short staffed; 2 staff excluding the bartender for 1st floor.

Lovely dishes to pair with your wine! Had a good tasting at @winemansion_aljuniedatrix recently and their food were pretty awesome! Here are some of my favourites: BBQ Pork Ribs ($28) - the ribs were well seasoned and tender. I loved how the sauce wasn't too overpowering, and there was an additional hint of smokiness as well! Crispy White Bait ($11) - highly addictive, this was the crowd pleaser. The whole fish can be eaten and it had such a satisfying crunch! We absolutely loved the mayo that went along with it. Clams in White Sauce ($14) - if you love your seafood, this is for you. The clams were really fresh and it gave so much sweetness to the sauce it was cooked in! The wine sauce was also garlicky and spicy and went so well with the bread. We found ourselves mopping up every bit of the sauce! Silky smooth chee cheong fan Second time back here at fantastic dim sum because the other dimsum place we wanted to go was closed today for some reason! Only after ordering did we remember that the portions for the dimsum here for the cheecheongfan were huge! Feeling bummed that the charsiew dishes were not available! Wanted to get the baked charsiew pastry and baked charsiew bun but all not available. -steamed chee cheong fan with prawn ($5) -fried beancurd skin roll with prawn ($2.50 for 2 pcs) -mango with prawn fritter ($4.80 for 3 pcs) -otah siew mai ($4 for 3 pcs) -lo mai kai ($2.50) The only gripe was the lomaikai was so hard! The hardest lomaikai ever haha. And the chicken portions werent alot. Chee cheong fan was silky smooth but i am not very accustomed to their sauce which tastes slightly different from the typical sauce. And the chilli provided was also special is the hae bee hiam kind. Overall still a satisfactory meal. Total price $18.80 for 2 pax!

Chocolate Waffles ($2.20) they accepted cash on the shop only ah but the waffles alr made in advance before I order it. But I'm kinda skeptical ah so it's gonna to be nice or nt ? So the chocolate filling gonna impressed me tbh as the waffles just be kuek texture. 🫡

Mexican Coffee Bun Sugary coffee goodness with butter/cheese inside. Browned to perfection. My absolute favourite bread at only $1.50.

Chocolate Cake Beautifully designed but very weak chocolate flavour. Did not expect much as it was a last minute purchase. Will not buy again

Cheese Pancake $1.80 Not all pancakes are made equal and this is one darn legit pancake. Crackingly crisp thin shell and soft mochi like layer with melted cheese on the inside. A note of caution, this pancake uncle has character. He only starts making pancake when he wants to (usual trend around 1:20) and the average wait for a pancake is 25 minutes.

Sliced Fish Bee Hoon 鱼片米粉 》$4 It's really cheap to pay only 4 bucks with the quality and amount of sliced fish given. Fishes here are really fresh and thickly sliced (very generous). Budget Set Never felt more warrior eating @yakinikuwarrior Battling with the fierce flame and splashing oil while cooking my meat from their hot plate arena.⚔🔥 Although the quality is not the best, but the price for that amount of meat is well worth your money. Good for those who is on a budget. Not going to complain much here. Warrior Set($13) - 50g each of Beef Tongue, Beef Short Plate & Skirt Steak. Karubi Set($8) - 150g melty US Beef Short Plate. Chicken & Pork Set($10)(200g) - Yep! I don't eat beef. A choice of Cirtus Shoyu or Garlic Shoyu for marination of meat. Gyu Tan($5) - 50g of Beef Tougue. Marination is great for all meat. Quality of meat is still acceptable but if you had high standard for meat then this is not the place. Get their Garlic Shoyu & Citrus Shoyu dipping sauce from self service counter to enhance your meat taste. Garlic one is garlicky and salty while citrus is zesty & refreshingly savoury. Recommend to add onsen egg($1) to be eaten as a dipping sauce. It will certainly brings out another familiar yet different experience of eating meat. Bubble Tea from GrabKitchen Unfortunately, here's another non-aesthetic photo... Even more so because the cup is opaque & you can't see through it 😂 But hear me out! I ordered the Golden Oolong Tea with Lime ($5.90 nett) with less ice (doesn't cost additional) & added Taro Balls (+$1 nett). Had my usual 0% sugar level - which made the lime taste even more distinctly sour. I didn't mind that (I love sour drinks), but as a result I couldn't really taste anything Oolongy, which apparently is their specialty. Maybe this wasn't the best combination to order. Coupled with the fact that the only option for pearls is taro balls (no regular tapioca/konjac/etc pearls)... That was an odd pairing. But it's my habit to never drink bubble tea without pearls!
