Chocolate Lava Cake ($9.90), Country Waffle Set ($13.90) and Double Scoop in a Waffle Cone ($12). As you can tell, the prices here are pretty flammable to your pockets.
Despite so-so flavours like Cookie Butter and Swiss Chocolate, they do have their fair share of winning flavours like their Red Velvet, Birthday Cake and Thai Milk Tea. Their chocolate lava cake (which is also available in Salted Caramel and even Durian flavours) was incredibly moist upon first incision, and is loaded with ganache which may impress you, but will have your throat imploring give another thought about jumping headfirst into it. Their waffles aren't anything enigmatic, yet tasty in a straightforward sense. Besides their desserts here, they do have Thai Milk Tea and Thai Green Milk Tea made from Cha Tra Mue. I came here around 9:15pm and it wasn't busy at all.
Overall, it's a place that won't have you swooning, but it's one that is ideal for you to get your quick fix of desserts. Well, that is if you're looking for something one up the ice-creams from nearby fast food joints, and also a dessert parlour that is convenient and accessible enough. (7.5/10)
Sounds very movie-trailer-ish hahahahaha, but that's exactly what @marbleslabsg offered, and some of us #BurppleTastemakers had the chance to do some hands-on mixing at the outlet in Kallang Wave Mall couple of weeks back. I'm the type to mix flavoured sodas at fast food drink dispensers, so hell yeah this was 5 mins of playtime putting almost every ingredient in my bowl as long as nothing spilled (guess how I am at buffets). And prior to that spending 5-10mins choosing my ice cream base, which was Thai Milk Tea (BEST FLAVOUR) and Red Velvet combined (didn't fancy the other flavours there). I might've gone overboard with my mix a tad much, because halfway through my bowl I could feel the sugar loading up into my bloodstream... Thankfully saved by the cuppa hot Gryphon tea available at the counter to slow down the surge. Word of advice: add berries to the mix so that the slight sourness cuts down the sweetness from the ice cream and other sugary ingredients. Thanks #Burpple and #MarbleSlabCreamerySG for the invite!

Really grateful that I had added some berries, that lent much-needed acidity to cut through the cloying sweetness from the ice-cream equivalent of a little kid running into a 7-11 & mixing all flavours of Big Gulp.

One of the night's revelations was that you could actually order & sip teapot-brewed Gryphon tea, right next to your ice-cream waffle in the Marble Slab franchise. Really takes the edge off the sugar overload.

During last night's Burpple Tastemakers tasting at Marble Slab Creamery, we got to experience their newest concept: Unlimited Mix-ins, Endless Possibilities, One Price.
We literally went over the top in true Burpple fashion as we chose all of the available toppings to be mixed into the ice cream to come up with what I call the •Burpple Mix•. Toppings like M&Ms, homemade cookie dough, gummy bears, blackberries and many more were squished, rolled and mixed before transferring it into this rainbow rice waffle bowl. Interesting ice cream flavours include the Matcha Infusion, King of Durians and Thai Milk Tea.
The •Burpple Mix• is not for the faint hearted, hence, proceed with caution.

Here I have mixed the Thai iced tea and vanilla bean ice creams, together with a myriad of toppings, including almonds, raspberries, granola and their homemade cookie dough. The Thai iced tea ice cream is my favourite for its strong tea fragrance, as they soaked the tea leaves overnight to extract the full flavour.
The large portion is recommended for sharing, unless you have a huge appetite for sweets.
Marble Slab Creamery can be found at various locations around Singapore. The tasting was held at the Kallang Wave Mall outlet, nearest MRT being Stadium station.
