Singapore Chinatown Yums!

Just the other day, I was recommended to try the food at this stall that sells teochew porridge. Being skeptical cos of the visual appeal of the food, I pushed away my doubts and gave it a try! The first mouthful of the bak-chor and I was lost to the time when I was 7 yrs old, all ready to have lunch right after school! I was brought back to those wonderful years of happiness, of growing up, with ah ma well and cooking our favourite dishes for our daily simple teochew porridge lunch & Lao ma sitting there, making sure that I finished it all! Yes, this is the first time I'm actually writing such a long caption...this meal really evoked too many emotions and memories. I miss my healthy, fierce & loving ah ma...I miss my Lao ma! Tho ah ma is still here, she is no longer as robust as before...I miss my little chilli padi mama! Mama I love you!
