Loving such short trips across the Causeway as the borders have finally opened up!

When we were there at around 9pm, most of the things were already sold out except their nasi lemak ayam goreng, which was exactly what we wanted to get after all fortunately. The rice was fluffy and had a nice coconut aroma while not being overpowering. The fried chicken was excellent and we ordered an extra serving of it while the sambal chilli is more to the spicy kind with a watery consistency.

What we like about this place is that the meat is cleaned very well, without any funky porky smell and they are quite generous with their portions. However, the herbal broth was somewhat of a let down as it was too mild, and we would have preferred the soup with more depth and heavy bodied. Nonetheless, still a very decent option to have some comfort food with a bowl of rice, youtiao and vegetables.

Besides the beverages, the cafe has a selection of sweets, sandos, donburis and udons in the menu. We had the Matcha Strawberry Sando (RM $14) and Mentaiko Tamago Sando (RM $18), with the former a sweet sandwich with yuri matcha cream layered with fresh strawberries in white bread while the latter is a tamagoyaki that has been breaded and torched with a mentaiko spread, sandwiched in white bread. We really enjoyed the savoury version with the differing textures and flavours, and despite us being full from lunch earlier, it was too delish to not finish it.

As the whole cafe is set in an industrial factory theme, it is not only aesthetically pleasing inside but outside as well. Waiting time can be up to 60 minutes if you wish to dine in the cafe so be prepared to wait in line. Other than that, this is also a great spot for lifestyle/fashion bloggers and influencers to get their OOTD shot.
