brunch đ˝
overall rating 6-7/10
total price paid per pax using beyond ~$12 (pretty good)
pictured is the omni burger black ($15), omni golden fillet no fish ($16), peanut butter shake, and berry shake (maybe ~$6 each)!
as a meat eater when i first bit into the omni black, it couldnât tell that it wasnât meat but after taking a few more bites it started to become apparent because the sauce was kinda overpowering to compensate đŽâđ¨ the patty had not much texture too. loved the mushrooms though. couldnât finish it in the end, but the fries were nice! the side salad was okay itâs good if you like balsamic.
for the fish my pal said âthis u know it isnât meatâ đ the texture looks kinda legit to be fair. the sweet potato fries are delicious and just as expected, and the saving grace is the sauce provided (miso ketchup)! smells nice, tasted like it had traces of truffle oil đ both dishes did start to taste the same and wasnât very moreish hmm âone-notedâ as pal said
the shakes were decent enough but tasted a little watered down, idk how to describe it but if youâre non-vegan and had a boost smoothie before boost is way better (youâre welcome) BUT the burpple deal is decent and let us try new food!! pal did like the peanut butter shake though she recommends it đĽ loved that the place gave us a jug of water because iâm always thirsty lol. would probably try the other food on the menu â¨
this is the fairfax ($12) and soda ($4.5-5 kinda forgot). everyone probably knows how hyped this is so decided to try!! itâs pretty good, the caramelised onions and cheese compliments well. things kinda get soft after a while so itâs recommended to add a meat option like bacon. a little pricey for an egg sandwich tbh itâs good but not phenomenal. the grapefruit and ginger soda is refreshing and strong
saizeriyaâs possibly everyoneâs go-to place for Italian that doesnât break the bank ;)) this is good, $5.9 though itâs a bit salty
the mushroom soup and iced lemon tea were really diluted, tasted watered down. the carbonara taste made me apprehensive at first, but the yolk made it so much better and the taste grew on me! the mushrooms could be cooked better though
had the Spanish scramble and iced latte! tasted good with the slightly buttery hash and fluffy eggs, but nothing too special :0 portion is pretty big couldnât finish. total damage is $31 and drinks were half off or 1-1 (forgot oops) during the time we went
the place was crowded but it looked so clean and crisp! tried the mentaiko chicken bowl, avocado toast, sesame latte, and white coffee. price is not too crazy, about $50. would definitely visit again
i had the steak with fried avocado and dad had the steak with glutinous rice. both were good, I liked the fried avocado, itâs something different. the beef is cooked and marinated well, the sauce definitely improved it. the mushrooms and vegetables are stir fried, so none of that just boiled/steamed shenanigans ;) mocha and raspberry mocktail are good too
we were staying @ hotel g and breakfast was provided; we chose to take it away. pleasantly surprised by the croissant and fresh fruit, meal was delicious and filling. the eggs were on the bland side though
Iâm not a soufflĂŠ pancake person so I wasnât having high expectations but gramâs premium pancakes are nothing like the soufflĂŠ! itâs rich and milky. the caramelised banana with regular pancakes were great, was really full afterwards
the chicken chop and mushroom aglio olio is average! the apple cheesecake is quite good but itâs $10. the âgelatoâ is wallâs ice cream lol not worth the money I think itâs $8-10 :0 the place is spacious and unique, nice to study at
we tried mocha, spicy crab linguine, and miso salmon! a unique twist on pasta, not salty and dense feeling :)
