Cute and quaint bakery with unique and pretty pastries!!! They have local flavours such as ondeh ondeh cakes and interestingly flavoured croissants. We didn't end up getting any as we were too full. So we got the teh susu and lime tea instead. The teh susu was rly good for a teh susu but nothing can beat a solid teh bing.
The lime tea is a heavy tea with just a hint of lime in the aftertaste. I really liked it. The bakery does not add sugar syrup so if you like your drinks slightly sweeter, you’ll have to ask!
RICH. That is the best way i can describe the gelato at this place. I think one regular cup of 2 flavors for $5 is worth it. Meaning to say that if we didn't have Burpple I'm not too sure if I'd get it over other things like a magnum or something.
It was pretty sinful to say the least. I don't think I'd eat this while walking around outside though. Maybe in a mall or sitting down and having a long conversation sounds good. I think if they started selling hot chocolate it would be a big hit.
The dark chocolate here is top quality, they really do live up to their name as a brand that specialises in cocoa products. The dark chocolate gelato was good but too gooey in my opinion, tasted a bit more like sticky chewy than I like. Will defo get it again even if its not $5/scoop. The vanilla ice cream was surprisingly light and good and tbh I think it'd go really well with the dark chocolate gelato. Would've loved to have it at a chill and quiet cafe with some soft jazzy music. Just wanna feel classy with this luxurious gelato ~
New cafe at Eastwood Centre @ Tanah Merah. Tried the chocolate ice cream and waffle that costed $11.
Location is really chill. Nice place to just hang back, have a cup of joe and do some reading. The owners and employees are really nice and friendly too. Very family vibe.
The waffle is not sweet at all. Extremely savoury and bread-y, and pairs perfectly with the ultra rich chocolate ice cream. Really love the pairing and would come here again when I save up enough to come back here!!
Wanted to go back to basics tonight. Had a simple coffee and donut combo; tried the matcha green latte and hazelnut latte for drinks and glazed, and strawberry filled donuts.
The drinks were unremarkable. Definitely has that unique Dunkin Donuts taste. Light on the cream and strong with the flavours. If you’re looking for something light and potent, this is for you.
Donuts were better than I remembered them to be. The simple glaze is not at the Krispy Kreme level but is definitely well worth the price. The strawberry filled donut is a personal favourite of mine for nostalgic reasons, but if you love powdered donuts and strawberry flavoured jam, this is a no-brainer.
With the burpple deal, this combo costed $4.15 per donut and drink pair.
Had their pistachio and dark chocolate ice cream on a waffle. Was pleasantly surprised by the waffle actually. Wasn’t soft to the point where the ice cream overpowered it and wasn’t tough where it would be better off had alone. My favourite part of this was the pistachio ice cream though. It’s not too sweet, like most other ice cream parlours nowadays, but still really creamy and flavourful. Definitely recommended that flavour if you head down there!
