Whole cafe experience was generally ok, but definitely would not go without the 1f1 deal. Menu was generally overpriced. Pastas 20+. Decided to go for the Duck Confit ($25) and Pork Chop ($24) with 1f1, and a Truffle Konbu fries add on ($12)

Duck confit is only suitable for people who enjoy a super thick layer of mushy fat underneath the otherwise crispy and tasty skin. Would say ~30% of the duck confit portion was fats only. The mash was awesome, though.

Pork chop was average, but could tell that the quality of pork used was good (likely to be loin meat), was pretty dense and super filling. Sauce dip was good, but the apple slices sides were not a great match to the dish.

Konbu truffle fries was a huge portion for the price, but on the sweet side.

The bill came up to be $50+ in total after the discount. Probably would be good for 3 people to share the aforementioned foods, we overordered for 2pax.

Went for the 1f1 mains, Cheesy Chicken and Cajun Chicken, with upgrade of one set to a meal including the soup of the day, and an icecream scoop.

Mains were not bad but nothing noteworthy. The chicken mains came with sides of grilled wedges and some salad.

Surprisingly, the side add ons were super good. Mushroom soup was piping hot when served, with strong mushroom flavour and small mushroom bits. Not watery at all, and very flavourful. Garlic bread piece was small but went well with the mushroom soup. This is one of the best mushroom soups we’ve had, actually.

Grilled wedges side dish was great as well. For dessert, we chose the cookies and cream flavour, and it was a great end to the meal.

Overall, sides were really good, although main dish (chicken) was lackluster. Would revisit if the main dish was done better. They also have other items on their menu, which looks good (eg. Salmon dishes), which were all unfortunately not included in the Burple deal. Would be great if the cafe could include more items in the deal.

Ordered the Braised Seafood Risotto ($28) and Pellegrino Pizza ($28), 1f1 with a side of truffle fries. The total came up to to about $40 which was a pleasant surprise given the great ambience and superb service. Was expecting truffle fries to be $12 as per the menu, but was actually $5 as an add-on.

The mains also came with a starter bread with olive oil and vinegarette dip.

Braised seafood risotto was a warm and hearty meal, with each rice grain coated with thick seafood sauce. The risotto goes especially well with the rocket leaves. Scallops, prawn, mussels and squid was also fresh and firm.

Pellegrino Pizza came with prosciutto ham, mushrooms, grilled tomato and pesto sauce as toppings. Pizza was good, and serving portion was huge. With the 1f1, bread starter and truffle fries, can easily be shared amongst a group of 3.
