Chicken Yuzu Ramen ($10.90): interesting combination, yuzu helped with elevating the heavy broth. But better shared as it can still be quite heavy on palate due to the saltiness and overly rich broth. Ajitsuke egg was a little over cooked and served whole instead of cut.

Full house most of the time with queues, perhaps due to the affordable pricing. Service is ok and efficient, food is served rather quickly.

Signature Tendon ($13.90): Prawn, fish, mushroom, baby corn, zucchini, carrot, seaweed tempura served with rice and signature sauce. Oily and over fried, not as crispy either. Rice was fluffy but along with its tempura, they lacked in flavor on its own / with the sauce. The aftertaste was quite sick. Avoid ordering this.

Ordered the Nasi Ayam Boomeranz ($7), which came with a box of seasoned rice and a fried whole chicken leg. Rice tastes good and really full of flavor. The soy sauce elevates the taste and the crumbs adds that nice crispy texture. Price point is affordable with big portions too.

Food here feels a bit like street food hence can be tad greasy / oily and heaty, as though the oil has been reheated multiple times. Nevertheless, I think it’s worth a try.

Service needs improvement. There are constant queues with long waiting times and missed orders, so be prepared to wait.

Ordered the double cheese sausage waffle ($3) and it was freshly prepared, likely because it is not a mainstream item.

Although the look is not there, the taste was rather good. The waffle extras at the side were crispy and although it looks like a mess, it was a nice addition to just purely a sausage wrapped in waffle. I expected there to be more cheese / flowing cheese but sadly all of it has leaked out, forming a crispy cheese layer which I nevertheless enjoyed. But for the price paid, cheese content is considered little. Staff was friendly.

If you’re looking for a good tasting coffee bun, stay away from here.

Attracted by the aroma, we bought 6 buns at $10 (U.P. $2 each) - coffee, salted egg, chocolate.

Coffee bun was horrible. Very bland and dry, crust wasn’t crispy and was just thick and crumbly, butter was pathetically little. Worst part was the coffee tasted a little off. All of us who initially wanted to buy home a few more, all decided not to in the end. Chocolate bun had that unpleasant chocolately taste and again the crust was not crispy nor was the inside buttery. Best out of all was salted egg, which had a nice crispy crust and best overall taste compared to the rest although it kinda still lacked the salted egg taste.

Ordered the Christmas special, Jumbo Chicken Drumstick Omelette Curry ($15.80).

Food wasn’t too great, felt that the curry tasted that bit sweeter and had this odd taste compared to the usual / other branches. The lettuce that came with the curry had also wilted, making it bitter. The drumstick wasn’t actually thoroughly cooked but the outer parts were also rather dry. Oddly the omelette looks moist but was actually not, would have preferred it to be more creamy.

Went at an off peak hour, only one staff around and a bit hard to get hold but staff was friendly and helpful.

Ordered 2 piece Original Chicken and 1 Mash Potato.

One chicken was too dry, the other was uncooked inside. Likely it was pre-fried, left there for a long while, then re-fried again? Approached the staff to exchange the one that was still uncooked but they were very reluctant and unhappy, even refusing at first. The second piece was cooked but super dry and difficult to swallow, I left without finishing it. Worst part, mash potato had a somewhat sour taste to it, probably prepared a long while ahead of time.

Never patronizing this outlet anymore.

Charcoal and buttermilk waffles served with Hojicha Soft serve. Can’t remember the name, but we ordered this straight off the menu ($15).

Also disappointing. We waited for a long while, yet both our waffles were served cold (not even warm), which was the worst part. This waffle was done slightly better than another one we ordered, but other than the waffle not being too sweet there’s nothing great about it. Hojicha soft serve melted so quickly our waffle quickly became flooded and soggy and it didn’t taste that strong. Fresh berries weren’t that fresh, mushy and one of it had a slight rotten taste. Overall nothing great and I feel that their waffles are overhyped.

Service was pretty bad. Perhaps under the mask but the staff generally weren’t very friendly, or maybe they are just tired / understaffed. Also if you sit inside, be prepared to smell like waffle once you step out.

Luckily for 1-for-1 burpple beyond, never would have paid full price for this kind of quality. I likely won’t be coming back either.

Buttermilk waffles with caramelised apple, digestive crumbs and vanilla ice cream. Can’t remember the name, but we ordered this straight off the menu ($15).

It was disappointing. We waited for a long while, yet the waffle was served cold, which was the worst part. The waffle was not fluffy or crispy on edges, and didn’t taste like buttermilk. Mint leave used to garnish looked like it was wilting too. The rest of the toppings on the waffle and the ice cream just tasted normal, luckily the waffle wasn’t too sweet so the toppings matched it alright. Overall nothing great and I feel that their waffles are overhyped.
