If you’re looking for a bowl of dry ramen in Singapore, then this HAS to be it!!!! 😍😍😍

I ordered the 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐛𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐲𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞 (𝐒𝐆𝐃$𝟏𝟑.𝟖𝟎++), which was just so delightful 🤤 actually would eat it again anyday!!! an easy way to describe the texture would be like a bak chor mee, but japanese version (seasoning and all) but seriously, SUPER yummy!! ☺️ I really loved the balance of flavours in the bowl, as well as the components - minced meat, seaweed, spring onions, chives and an onsen egg 🤩👌🏼

Overall, I highly recommend this place!! Honestly loved everything about my ramen, other than the fact that it got a tad too salty towards the end (and I didn’t like the soup... but maybe thats just bc personal preference) Only downside is that it is slightly pricey, but its standard ramen price I guess? ALSO there is free upsize for noodles for the carb lovers and free rice also 😛 Will definitely be back to try their original mazesoba the next time round, which my friends really enjoyed and it is less salty, so it may be suitable for those with lighter tastebuds!

been going to Tanuki since its early days as a small outlet at Orchard Central back in 2015, and my favourite 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞 𝐘𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐤𝐮 𝐃𝐨𝐧 ($𝟏𝟒.𝟗𝟎++ 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡) is still well-executed after all these years! The truffle aroma is relatively subtle compared to what I would prefer, but the beef is well-cooked, so i’ll say its pretty good for the price. The portions are also reasonably generous.

Also love the onsen egg on the top, which definitely goes super well with their seasoned sushi rice! I am not usually a big fan of rice, but the rice at Tanuki is my weakness...... 🥺👉🏼👈🏼

All in all, definitely a place I’ll always visit whenever I am around the Orchard area and can’t think of anywhere to eat - this is perfect for a meal with a budget < $20 🤩

had the 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐰𝐥 (𝐒𝐆𝐃$𝟐𝟎++), and opted for the Multi-Grain rice (+$1)! I rate this don a 8/10 - it was SO good!! 🤩🤩 rather value for money given the generous portions of salmon and roe, and the salmon sashimi was really fresh too. JUST LOOK AT ALL THE SASHIMI!!!! The additional $1 for the multi-grain rice was also worth it, for the nutty texture and lovely aroma 😋 just wished it was slightly less pricey, but i will still be happy to pay for it!

Also tried the 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐄𝐠𝐠 (𝐒𝐆𝐃$𝟔++); and also a 8/10 for this dish! Don’t usually like century egg, but the combination of flavours worked really well, and this was a refreshing change ☺️

My parents tried the Pork Cheek ($20++) and the Unagi ($23++) rice bowls respectively, and they really enjoyed it as well - so here are some pics of it!

Will definitely return in the near future 😊
