Really enjoyed this refreshing flavour of coconut & lychee which is exclusive to The Sail outlet. I could taste subtle hints of each flavour, though my friends said that they couldn’t taste lychee at all 😂 I like how thin and crisp the cone is! Usually have difficulty finishing a cone by myself but I had no trouble at all with this one 😋

Total bill is $7.70 : $6 for this flavour + $1 for the cone + $0.70 service charge. Though it’s a bit pricey for 1 scoop of ice cream, I would still recommend to try it at least once in your life 😄

Hidden little cafe in AMK which serves mains, desserts and drinks. Pancakes are a bit thin but they go well with salted butter and maple syrup. Ordered a flat white for the set and the coffee is decent for the price. Staff are friendly and nice. Do note that the cafe has limited seats so it may not be suitable to host large groups.

This is part of the “Joyous” set menu ($98++ per pax) and is the best item in the menu. The ice shaving is refreshing with the sweetness of pineapple. The champagne jelly is an interesting touch. Even my mom who doesn’t take alcohol enjoyed it and joked if she could ask for more 😁

Royz et Vous is a halal restaurant which is a decent option for dining in. It can get pretty noisy at night. Patrons were raising their voices in their conversations while music was booming in the background. I visited this place during COVID-19 period when dining groups were restricted to 5 pax. Dining time was restricted to 90 mins and the waiters started asking us to clear our table at the 85th minute. Not a good experience to be “chased out” but we wouldn’t want to stay beyond the 90 minutes as the environment was simply too loud and not conducive for conversations.

This dessert is a big miss. Chocolate lava was just slightly oozy and the cake tasted flat. The saving grace was the vanilla ice cream and cookie crumble which gave the dish more texture and flavour. Would not order this again.

This is the Tiramisu ($14.50) and Mango Passionfruit ($15.80) pancakes. The tiramisu pancakes scream coffee but they are not alcoholic, hence it only resembles half of a typical Tiramisu experience. On the other hand, the mango passionfruit pancakes are refreshing and is well balanced between tart and sweetness. For someone who dislikes mango, I found the mango served super fresh and delicious. The pancakes are soft and fluffy, easy to savour (and quickly too!). We had this after a full dinner and we could finish each plate on our own!

Definitely better than the cookies from a certain sandwich chain 😉 The cookies are chewy and made of real chocolate chunks. Indulgent but comes with not a small price tag for a simple 🍪 treat.

Very chill place and perfect for afternoon chats. Great concept of presenting the pastries. It was fun pulling out each drawer to look at the spread of desserts and sandwiches! Photo shows a set for 2 pax. Each high tea set comes with 2 choices of coffee / tea per pax. I picked the White Silk Tea and it’s described aptly as “a tapestry of flavours” 🌈 The coffee was underwhelming, so I will highly recommend to go with tea to complete the pleasant high tea experience ☺️

This shop is located in a quiet neighbourhood in Yishun. It was not crowded when I went with my friend on a Saturday afternoon. Waffle is average, not the best I have tried. Earl grey lavender is my go-to ice cream flavour and it didn’t disappoint. I wouldn’t mind eating this again if I am nearby... I doubt I will specially make a trip down just for this.

Burpple beyond deal of buy-3-free-3 slices is pretty worth it for a small house party! My personal favourites are Madam Roselle🌹 ($6.90), Maneki Neko🍋 ($7.90) and Once in the Blue Moon🫐 ($5.90).

Don’t recommend Jiggly Puff🧀 ($6.90) - My friends and I found it too cheesy and “overkill” as it has 3 layers of cheese. Maybe a super cheesecake lover will appreciate this more than the average cheesecake eater 🤣

This is supposedly their signature dessert and highly recommended by the boss. The molten chocolate is indeed rich and on the bitter side which I enjoyed. However at this price point, I would expect the serving to be slightly bigger. Will probably skip this and try their cakes next time.

Pancakes are soft and fluffy and are great with maple syrup. The cream is not too sweet, so most people might be able to polish the entire plate off without feeling too sick / “jelat”. A safe option to choose from the plethora of desserts on the menu 👍🏻

Tamago-en is such a cute place to have a meal or dessert! I enjoyed this version of panna cotta, loved the black sesame taste which isn’t too sweet and pairs well with the chocolate sauce. It’s a delightful dessert 😌

Loves sourdough and a cup of joe 😃
