Circuit Breaker Takeaways
If I had to pick a favourite from the meal, that would be this beef brisket prata. This was done a la quesadilla style, with chunks of beef and cheese sandwiches between a crispy oily prata. Have it when it’s hot. This made for a real sinful and artery-clogging treat.
One of my hidden finds during the CB period, they were offering a whopping 50% their entire menu for curbside pickup. This octopus leg was awesome at this price point. Charred, juicy and perfectly cooked.
Nothing like the version of their chirashidon i've been seeing online. Fish was marinated similar to teppei syokudo. Most impressed by the effort to pack it separate from the rice, and a somewhat generous serving.
One of the best Ive had so far, so refreshing and milky!
A really good sized claypot rice which would feed two fairly large eaters. Great flavours although lacking the charred bits that makes it enjoyable, when not eaten from the claypot.
Literally and figuratively greek to me, this was simply fried feta with sesame seeds and honey. A little overpriced if you ask me, since a slab of this cheese goes for $5 at the nearby foodie's market place. But still fun to have as a side if shared amongst at least 3 people.
Still one of the better prawn mees out there. Very addictive soup youd just want to keep going at. The basic version came with 2 prawns each sliced into halves, some pork ribs and your choice of carb.
These oysters were so fat and tasty and absolutely delicious and briney. Squeeze on a bit of lemon and voila, its foodgasmic.
Beautiful gyudon which was superb value for money. More of a lean cut that wagyu grade melt-in-the-mouth beef but stiff juicy and pink and so satisfying. Foie gras was a little firmer than expected but hey can't complain at this price.
Was so impressed with Tess that Ive been recommending them to people looking for good food during the CB period. They introduced this new dish - a beautiful lobster risotto which was right on point with flavours, if not a tad heavy handed on the oil.
They told me this was their most popular item, so I went ahead and was really pleased with this hearty bowl of dry noodles. Also I found out mazesoba is one of the better things for takeaway as they remain tasty even after some time.
Been eyeing the pizza here for some time and CB's the best time to try pizzas. Been seeing the meaty items featured heavily on food blogs, but decided to go for this more interesting pizza featuring creamy bechamel sauce, boursin, goat cheese, garlic, leeks, rosemary. Was not disappointed at all.
