Read that these Dutch meatballs are a must-try when in the Netherlands. They weren't entirely made of beef, and had lots of potato inside instead. Tasted quite like Japanese curry if I have to be honest. Like a Japanese curry potato croquette?

I've never had a freshly made stroopwafel before. They had 3 options: original caramel, caramel with chocolate brushed on top, large caramel. The biscuit was warm and the caramel still flowing.

Got the 20 piece "special flavour" that comes with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, fresh strawberries, icing sugar and butter. The mini pancakes were really pillowy and chewy on the inside with an almost melt-in-your mouth quality. The sweetness of the icing sugar, juiciness of the strawberries and creaminess of the ice cream all came together really well! It was so delicious the bees kept coming to have a sniff.

They literally only serve 1 item: this cookie. When a store only sells one thing and there's still a queue outside, you know it's gotta be good. It has a dark chocolate cookie base with white & milk chocolate chips. The cookie was warm and crumbly, and the chocolate chips still melty. Kinda like a really upgraded Subway cookie. A pretty good treat if you're in the area.

Was rather skeptical when everyone told me about how great these fries were - because how nice could French fries possibly be? Alas, I was happy to be proven wrong! These thick-cut fries were super crisp on the outside yet soft on the inside. We got the "manneken pis" signature sauce, which was somewhere in between thousand island and mayonnaise. It was delicious. Worth the queue (and calories). Price: 4.95 (medium fries) + 0.95 (1 sauce) = 5.90 euros

Got the pink guava and chocolate flavours. Their ice cream is so light and airy that it feels like you're eating nothing. Not thick and cloying at all - although this also means their flavours aren't very strong. I could probably eat 5 scoops by myself.

A really good quality and affordable hotdog. They give TWO sausages in one hotdog bun, and have a wide selection of sauces for you to help yourself to. It's also right next to the stroopwafel stand so I'd strongly recommend grabbing a bite here and exploring the market!

Probably the least impressive of all the fries we had in Amsterdam. I liked that they package the sauce separately if you order takeaway. However, they double cook their fries - so they're piping hot when served, but also overcooked in my opinion. The potato on the inside is not longer soft and fluffy.
