$3 for a huge plate of char kway teow was definitely a steal.
The kambing soup was flavourful and thick, the meat was so tender that on first bite it just fall apart.
Also had the omelette chicken rice. $5 for a plate of decent fragrant chicken rice and crispy chicken.. the chicken could be done better if it was hotter.
The chicken was well marinated, very tender and moist. Simply delicious! š Add a little chilli sauce to complement the chicken for that extra zesty-ness!!
Think this claypot rice is really worth it trip to the west. Ordered a medium one (abt 5 small bowls) for ($15), able to feed 3 pax. The claypot comes with lupcheong, salted fish and chicken. The chicken is tender and not drying at all while the salted fish adds a different fragrance taste to the rice.
Must try their pig liver dish ($8) !!! Itās cooked to the perfect softness, people who doesnāt eat pig liver, itās really worth the try! ššš»
One of the many popular laksa in Singapore, do be prepared to queue for this laksa.
The gravy was on the watery. Try mixing in the belacan chilli paste at the side so it becomes more flavourful. The noodles were cut into bite size pieces and was nice. Have to say they are quite generous with the cockles which were fresh and juicy! Portion wise... itās was rather small as compared to the rest outside..
Conclusion: itās a nice bowl of laksa but there are better ones out there for sure.
