Snacks
A competent standard restaurant style
A little fibrous, very creamy, somewhat sweet with this bitter edge that's hardly unpleasant. The smell is strong but not very unpleasant, compared to MSW
The pandan's proper mooncake filling combines well w the mild saltiness from the egg yolks. This is a decent enough version
Wtv I said before holds true but after trying chin sin huan's I've got to say I'm a lot less impressed w this, this is more normal tasting altho ofc still not bad at all
Tastes abit meh, idk if it's cos it's more artisanal and lower sugar that's why the texture and flavour are affected
Bittersweet with no alcohol taste, the texture ranges from super creamy to dry dense and wet depending on which piece.
Frankly speaking, it's really just a weaker MSW
Too hot, but otherwise lovely as well
It's abit too hot
But otherwise everything is that mindblowing standard
Still the best bao place in Singapore, by far
My third time here, I stay in the west. Theres no higher mark of acknowledgement
However I have to admit by my third time I kind of get used to it and don't appreciate it as much as the first time. However the friend I bring got his mindblown and that's what's important
Decent rice, many umami components like mushroom, peanuts, sausage and sth else.
Overall decent ver
Quite a decent version. The filling is light but aromatic from celery stalks.
This place is really more for old people in the area. All old people I saw, plus the food is very lightly flavoured.
So not really worth a trip to this ulu place
Kueh skin lousy, it's too soft, almost mushy with no chew
The filling is very clean and very mild, not the super umami kind
