As you can tell this is very deeply braised

It's got more bite than normal, probably cos it's treated somehow to remove the bones easily. Well deboned, only crunchy cartilage is left.

The garlic is ok but the sauce is mainly citrusy with no body, so I didn't like it too much

The bean curd cubes and the kelp both had more bite than normal.

PSA many of their items are not available, esp the eponymous one so it's ridiculous that they're not striking them out on the menu(intentionally)

Food:
Not particularly good but interesting at least. Tastes cheap, just like the pork meatballs

Don't bother asking for a little bit of spicy.

The spicy soup is very Chinese sweet braising liquid style and completely overwhelms the Japanese broth

Plum marinated, but much much much sharper than anything I've tried. It's more sour but not overly so, curious where that sharpness comes from.

It's not exceptional, the first one stunned me abit when it hit the back of my throat but curiously I can't stop myself from eating piece after piece

They said some 3 syllable word starting w l, but rlly it's basically your sambal. Sweet and spicy and it's the same kind as your normal hokkien mee sambal

Cauliflower had a good texture but the main flavour comes from the thick starchy sauce. I don't like these kindd as much, I think the ones with full amt of ingredients is better

Quite spicy, the eggplant comes w skin and the soft texture works well w their fantastic Kueh, the umami is also something. Hae bee gives it some heat

The pork could have been fatter but the ingredients is rlly v generous, a lot of chunks of pork

Not bad

2 pieces of well spiced pork belly in the Kueh. The ratio is abit off but overall still pretty good

The cheddar scones were not good, toasted in alumnimum foil and the texture was hard to describe, but quite dry and not aromatic at all, definitely not fluffy. It was a tad crispy on top.

Butterscotch whip was pretty good, very cold and smooth and light
