Burgers
We ordered waffles with a scoop of rum raisin. The dish looked amazing with a big round ice cream scoop sitting nicely on two waffles. Syrup and chocolate sauce drizzled around just maked the dish even more guilty. The eating part was most satisfying as the warmth of the freshly made waffles just blended with the icy coldness of the ice cream. Recommend to try flavours of ice cream before choosing your favourite.
Damage was $10.30 (premium ice cream) and really worth it
We did not have any reservation but seats were not a problem on a Wednesday night. We made sure to check with a waitress if we could use Burple Beyond but she did not seem to know. Luckily another (senior?) staff confirmed, avoiding an awkward moment for us. I was a bit disappointed to know the deal was only applied to 4+U premium beer, not for other beer and draft ones.
We ordered an Aurora pasta ($20.00++) and a Cheeky Beef with fries ($22.00++) plus two pints of beer. Our order was served fairly quickly. The food was on average. The pasta was generous with prawns and so much sauce that it was thick and cheesy. The beef portion felt small or may be because it was put in a small oval plate (???). Nearly half of the beef was fatty and the lean part was dry and had sporadic crust.
The beer was exceptionally fresh and thirst quenching. I finished mine and half of my girlfriend’s pint.
When we asked for the bill, the cashier said we only ordered one beer so we couldn’t enjoy the deal. Again luckily a staff pointed out that we ordered two.
Total damage: Cheeky beef ($22.00), Aurora pasta ($20.00, discounted), 2 beer ($12.00 each, one is discounted), plus GST+SC, about $40.00.
It’s okie with 1-for-1 deal.
Seafood roll is made of a generous serve of lobster meat and crab meat sandwiched in a butter grilled bread. There are a variety of sauce for different taste buds. We went for maine and chili crab sauce, and found the latter adding more flavour to the dish. Priced at 23+ (SVC for dine in). Maybe one roll is not substantial for a big eater like me, i still felt hungry after a roll :))
I was much excited to try the newest addition to the menu. The result came out a bit underwhelmed.
The buns were decent, smooth, soft and absorbed some of the meat juice. It was a bit dry and less fluffy than usual buns.
The patty was meaty and juicy although quite salty.
The burger looked fairly small compared with a standard size. The price tag of 18.80++, making the dish to be one of the priciest item (considering a beef burger is 9.80++). There could have been another side dish to make it more value for money.
