Beijing Food Hunts
We were shown around the Hutong before sitting down for our dinner which lasted 5 hours!!
Great service and food at this Hutong. We were pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the entire experience. Highly recommended!!
For this be picky, be choosy option, you get a 4 course meal from any sections of the menu! The menu is categorized under 3 main headings.
Firstly, we have the Prelude, which is the starter, there is Marine & Marvelous (Tuna, oyster, gravlax, sea urchin) and Fresh & Fertile (Apple Foie gras, pumpkin soup and eggplant). Next, we have the climax, which is the mains, we have Ocean & Opulent (salmon, Icelandic cod, halibut) and Meaty & Mighty (Chicken, pigeon, Wagyu beef, Wagyu tomahawk). Lastly, we have the ending note which is none other than the desserts!

Street snack that does not require baking. Cooked on the sides just by putting on the hot pan. Comes with multiple fillings like yam paste, red bean paste, matcha, green bean paste, sesame paste etc
This is green bean paste! Like eating Ang ku kueh but with a crisp non flaky exterior! My favorite of the lot!
Love anything with sweet potato paste! Not overly sweet, moist and fibrous with a nice crust that is cooked on each sides on this thing that looks like a crepe pan!
Super legit snack along Wangfujing food street. The redbean paste is very rich and authentic, in there you’ll also find bits of goji berries & raisins!
Option to get 2 flavors at 6 pieces each. This s a vegetarian option with cabbage, carrot & shrimp. Found them to be on the greasy side. Would prefer the skin to be thinner and more crispy!
Fried dumplings. Unfortunately found this a tad too greasy and the filling is quite salty too
Simple but one of my favorite comfort food! This place is famous for dumplings, they have at least 30 types, with traditional ones with meat based (pork/beef/chicken) fillings as well as more unique fillings in the cheese/curry series.
Tossed in a lot of sauce to distract one from the “stench”. Pretty yummy in fact!
Went there for brunch on a lovely Sunday. Good ambience with quaint decor, perfect for business luncheon or a nice brunch.
