A bed of rice topped with Japanese unagi, served with a small teapot of dashi broth, a small plate of pickles, and a plate of condiments containing strips of seaweed, chopped spring onion and a piece of fresh wasabi to be grated on your own. Quality of the unagi is on point! Grilled to perfection, tender and flavourful, with a nice crisp to it. The dashi stock was lighter than I expected it to be but it does give a warm comforting touch to eat it as a tea rice soup (ochazuke). We are not wasabi fans but we still grated a bit to try since we paid for it already. Surprisingly, the fresh wasabi had the wasabi fragrance but not the pungent burning sensation that we disliked. Pretty interesting experience to us! There are also additional sauces (sweet sauce, unagi sauce, spicy sauce) available on the table but I think it is delicious on its own.
Recommended? It is a definite yes from me if you are looking for good quality unagi and willing to pay as the prices here are pretty steep. However, if you are looking for a place to chill and chat around with your friends and family, this might not be the best option as the service here is quite efficient in order to serve the hungry customers waiting under the hot sun.
Still my favourite dim sum ever! Crusty top with sweet hot char siew filling. What is there not to love
The cake is topped with a layer of hardened caramelized sugar, which gives the cake a crunch in contrast to the soft Mille crepe. Quite good but a bit too sweet for my liking
The gula melaka agar agar is extremely soft that it melts in your mouth. Very fragrant and not very sweet. Definitely order this when you are here!
Served hot and crispy but not fragrant enough in my opinion.
Served with Nasi Lemak rice and soft-centre egg. I really like that the dishes are in small portions so that we are able to enjoy the variety of food instead. The dishes are not outstanding but of satisfying quality. The Nasi Lemak rice is my favourite out of the whole set. Fluffy, soft, fragrant. Ohh and the best part is that the rice is free flow!! Yumms
One word to describe this is... petite. They are really small one bite delights. Not bad but not outstanding
Unique dish. The Muah Chee is really soft but does not have much flavour to it.
Expected a regular slab of brownie topped with icecream but no, the presentation was on point. A layer of small chocolate brownie cubes with a layer of vanilla gelato on top, and then another layer of brownie cubes with cream, pistachio and caramel sauce. This was bombzzz...tasted so much better than I expected. The brownie was moist and not overly sweet, with the cold creamy gelato. Love it love it love it!
My family do not usually order vegetarian pasta but this was quite flavoursome I have to say. But again, the price is a bit steep for its portion.
Unique twist to the usual pizza flavours. Thin crispy crust topped with prawns, mussels, clams, quail eggs, tau pok and their homemade laksa sauce. Requested to remove squid due to food allergy. Not very spicy and my family enjoyed it a lot but the price is quite steep
This was bombzzz. Cold creamy vanilla icecream sitting on warm soft pancake. What shocked me the most was the generosity of durian served. There was a huge dollop of D24 durian flesh on the pancake! There were also big pieces of coconut sables that gives the dish a nice contrast in textures. Love it love it love it!
