Japanese Food
I went with deep fried prawn, chicken skin, shoyu karaage & pork. A bed of Japanese rice with tori Q sauce, seaweed & pickled. A satisfying portion and ideal for a quick fix to Japanese rice craving.
After a long day of work, a good bowl of ramen is much needed. Saw this Japanese shop is full of people. The live cooking station at the storefront is quite interesting. Seemed their fried rice is good, looking at the texture & color.
My bowl of tonkotsu is tasty, the brooth is flavourful and not too salty. Add chilli oil for an extra kick of spicy flavour.
What a healthy, yummy and affordable bowl. Love so much this soup and never give it a miss whenever I visit Muji cafe.
Every time passing by this shop, always has strong aroma of truffle. One day, I decided to dropped by and find out. Apparently, every dish that has the rice base, it will be served with a fragrant truffle rice. I topped up another $2 for an extra seaweed & jellyfish. Overall, it’s an affordable meal. Perhaps because it’s near NAFA & LASALLE college which has a lot of students.
Just realised they have rebranding from Issho to Nekuta. Food quality is really good & affordable. Surprisingly not many people in this legit Japanese shop. Ordered unagi rice bowl $8.80 + extra jellyfish $2.50.
Overall, it’s a light & tasty lunch. Good for those who pursue nutrition balance meal without burning your pocket.
The stall offer ramen spiciness level from 0 (non spicy) to level 8 (flaming hot). I choose level 3 which already quite spicy for me. This humble Japanese ramen shop may not be popular at the outside as it has old exterior & interior look, but definitely worth try since their food quality is good with reasonable price.
The bowl of ramen came with 4 slices of chashu, accompanied with black garlic oil to give extra depth of flavour. This bowl of ramen is totally good to warm your body. The brooth was legit and flavourful.
Although it’s located at the heart of Orchard and decorated with elegant interior the menu is priced reasonably.
Went here for Christmas lunch, the place has elegant interior and perfect for weekend lunch.
The bowl has a good array of sashimi and salmon, and it was reasonably priced.
Ordered this via Deliveroo as my TGIF meal when I was having no time to went out for dinner. The sashimi chunks was good paired with a bed of well seasoned Japanese rice below.
Although it’s not cheap but food quality did justified the price.
Was queue for 15 mins at post lunch timing. Which typically you may expect 1 hour waiting time. The meat quality is really goooodd, given the price. And you can customise the rice serving according to your preference.
Found this place when browsing nearby eating place via Burpple. Totally worth the money and perhaps this one of very few places in Singapore which you can enjoy personal grill yakiniku table.
Unfortunately the sauces wasn’t completely served as what was shared online. I didn’t spot any dipping sauce like BBQ, Spicy Miso Sauce, Sea Salt Sauce, etc. Just small portions of sauce that comes with the set.
Overall was a good dining experience although they limit to 40 mins.
New Japanese Fusion Food at affordable price. This place relatively new. And not many people knew yet about this gem in Lavender. Don’t judge the restaurant by its exterior. Their food is quite legit with wallet friendly price.
The Yuzu Mayo Mentaiko Maki was amazing. Ordered Japan flown oysters too at $2 each. Fresh, large & succulent. Yum! Perhaps the cheapest oyster served in a bar or restaurant I found so far.
Will come back again for their Healthy Bowl ($8.80). Satisfied customer.
It’s One of my comfort food go-to place. The soft boiled egg is perfect as it melt in the bowl. The food is made of good quality ingredients, esp the rice. The price is reasonable, comes with no GST & no Service Charge. Nice ambient & interior as they join unit with lighting & furniture shop. New address is 161 Lavender Street #01-04
