also got a side of battered prawns to go with it. one thing for sure, the portion is hugeeee and they taste fresh n crisp!! did get a lil too oily n overwhelming at the end but for slightly over $20 i think it’s pretty worth
this French Toast (S$12.90) is no ordinary one bc it’s HUGE. two thick slices of buttery and soft brioche buns made more decadent after being soaked in its eggy mixture, cooked and drizzled generously with maple syrup. i love how they layered cheese between the two slices of brioche, for alsome saltiness to cut thru the richness of the brioche itself. they were also topped with tomatoes and avocado + a serving of creamy scrambled eggs in the side.
i love how the bolo is crisp and sweet, which provides varying texture w the fluffy bun + sweet and savoury pork!! slightly fatty but still good. m more of a biscuity base egg tart person as opposed to flakey like this, but the egg custard is the perfectly silky smooth and delicious i enjoy it nonetheless
the chicken was well seasoned albeit a tad dry, but the mushroom sauce complemented well and alleviated that. decent but nth much to shout abt, generous in portion and defo enough to satisfy a hungry stomach!
this was pretty good and hit all the right spots. the eggs were runny and the sourdough slices were nicely toasted, my only gripe is “whr the bacon???” they were replaced w shabu pork belly slices but i guess at least they were q generous w the portion ~
i didn’t like the first mouthful but as the fries soak up the brown sauce i kinda appreciated the savoury taste plus i like soggy fries so it worked for me. the cheese taste was kinda muted for this one but for $10 it’s still worth it for a huge bowl of fries!!
however, unfortunately i was let down by this. they did not have the berry sorbet so it came w vanilla ice cream but that was ok. i think for me the most disappointing thing was that the pancakes were stale, dry and cold. the texture itself was v doughy and dense as well. i guess they were left out there for a prolonged period of time and just served when ordered. perhaps it was just a one-off bad experience and more consistency is needed!
very yummy and hearty indeed + the portion is substantial even for someone like me w a huge appetite so it’s q worth for $20!!!!
it was moist and chewy on the inside, yet still soft and fluffy + crisp on the outside. i love the texture and the batter itself was tasty and not one dimensional. while the eggs were creamy and flavourful, and the ham was decent too, the sausage rly wasn’t up to any standard; dry and tasteless. i loved the addition of espresso infused in the maple syrup which really elevated the flavour of the alr well done waffles. would defo be back to try the other flavours (it’s so good that having it alone is good enough too 🤤)
