Gyoza
This was very very hot, even after Iâve finished my bowl of ramen. But the cheese was great, grilled and chewy at the bottom and melted on top. Loved it.
The thin layer on top was chewy rather than crispy, which I really quite liked. Meat filling was juicy. Nice
Quite crispy outside. Very hot inside. The mayo was ok but I couldnât detect wasabi taste. A pleasant side dish.
This was fairly expensive but I saw the queue and couldnât resist. The liao inside was quite little and most of it was dough. The prawn inside also was not deveined so it didnât impress me. Gyoza was quite bland but the soy sauce did nothing to improve the taste. They were super hot so must wait before eating. I didnât, and burnt my tongue.
Never had seafood gyoza before. Most other places only offer pork. Plus it was chef recommendation item. And it surpassed all expectations. Hubby took one bite and looked at me đ. Plump and juicy. Lots of prawns inside made it sweet and bouncy. Hubby remarked that he never understood why I always order gyoza. He thot they were so mediocre and not worth the calories. Now he can understand. This was the best we ever had. Next time I wanna come here and order 4 plates for a gyoza lunch.
I managed to get the last of their free flow potato salad. It tasted wonderful! So yummy that I asked for more. But alas! No more already. They also have free flow hard boiled eggs and spicy bean sprouts.
Iberico gyoza was not bad. Quite juicy inside. It was hard to stuff a whole one into my mouth cos it was quite big. But worth contorting my mouth to feel the burst of juice.
Hubby enjoys coming here. Unlike other Keisuke ramen stores which offer free flow bean sprouts and hard boiled eggs, this store includes Gomashio cabbage. And the store decor is so cute! Ultraman stands guard at the front of the store and hubby's fav hero mini Kamen Rider guards Ultraman's back. Another one guards the cashier. Every time we come, he's happy like a child. Make your own egg mayo by mashing a hard boiled egg with mayo plus a dash of pepper and nanami togarashi chili flakes.
On a side note, the gyoza was chewy and juicy. A good side dish.
So much has been said about their lobster ramen that I decided to review their gyoza instead. Just seeing the shrimp tails poking out reminded me so much of the shrimp dumplings I had in Shibuya. I liked this gyoza. The shrimp was sweet and fresh, making these gyoza a cut above the rest. I will order this again.
Anyone who loves cheese, mayo and teriyaki sauce must get this from Torimaru. A tad salty but the cheese was so yummy! I also tried the fried chicken ramen and it was good! Too bad the chicken turned soggy before I could finish. But the soup was light and refreshing.
