If Pasta Can Be Spelt As Love Instead
Four chunks of crispy skin sea bass on a bed of handmade fettuccine which I thought was one of the best I had ever had. So springy and al dente that the strands literally sprung when I was trying to twirl them into bite sizes. The sea bass were seared to perfection as the skin was crispy and every chunk had every drop of moisture locked in it. So good! The seasoning was on point with white wine and toma tomatoes.
Being a huge fan of truffle infused dishes, this place was definitely on my wish list upon knowing that this dish is a chef's recommendation. True enough, the whole dish was intensely perfumed with truffles. Unfortunately the handmade pasta was a huge letdown. It was so overcooked that the strands got clumped together. Eating lumps of pasta was definitely not the best experience:(
Previously known as Le Bouillon, this team has decided to launch their latest concept of rice bowls (unagi, pork belly etc) and noodles as a last ditch attempt to revive their business. Due to it being located in the CBD area, their business depends quite heavily on the lunch crowd which would be greatly reduced by dinner time:(
I tried this 'new' item which is actually a revamped item from the previous menu: cream mushroom and crab meat noodles. With the new onsen egg and fragrant crispy chicken, the al dente noodles came together really nicely. Loved the crispy chicken as the chicken breast was very moist and the special batter made it taste like no other fellow fried chicky:)
However I thought the sauce was quite flat and became quite jelat after a few mouthfuls of it. Nevertheless i enjoyed the meal in general and I really hope that this team will pull through with this new concept πͺ
Launch of new menu! (Sorry I can't really remember the exact name of the dish haha and the new menu is not available online yetπ)
The amount of crabmeat was generous and it tasted so fresh and sweet. The pasta was cooked to perfection. Oh it wasn't spicy at all tooπ Loving their new menu items ππ»
Super goood! The truffle oil was so fragrant and went so well with the salmon and mushroomπππ I couldn't help but scrape all the pasta sauce to eat to continue to indulge in the goodness even after I had finished all the pasta!
Most freaking awesome pasta that I have ever tried. 4 kinds of mushrooms with big slices of Parmesan cheese and their famous 63degrees egg on top of the pasta for about only $20. Every single ingredient was cooked to 101% perfection. The portion was just right! Usually I get so full from eating the pasta noodles but this time round i got full from eating the mushroom (they were really generous with the mushroom!). SO GOOD that I am at a loss for words! So no matter if you are a mushroom or non-mushroom lover, this pasta is a must try! Will definitely revisit the place to check out if there is any more unknown treasures!
With extra virgin olive oil and garlic. Yumz
