Must Try One
Usually not a fan of coconut but this was surprisingly good! Texture was a little icy (though not as bad as the Thai green tea) but smooth and refreshing, a great perk-me-up for the merciless scorching weather. Served with gula Melaka, almond crunch and specks of desiccated coconut flakes, the combination was much better here, with the almond crunch providing a pleasant crunch factor and the gula melaka contributing to a subtle tinge of sweetness. Really love the almond crunch toppings and if only the milk crumbs in the Thai green tea softserve could be replaced by this...

I thought this was nice - the eggs, mushrooms and onions were pretty standard. The bacon though. 🥓 Incredibly thin slices of meat that slap you across the face with salty smoky meaty flavours. Want more.
Scoring high on the visuals, yet another looks better than it taste dish that failed to impress my sweet tooth. Though the brioche was soft and fluffy with a substantial spread of rhubarb berry marmalade, it was just a run-off-the mill that could have been easily duplicated in your home kitchen. Coupled with tangy and sour fresh berries (raspberry, blueberries, blackberry and strawberries) as well as soft, sweet poached pears, the vanilla ice cream was yet another mediocre addition - smooth, creamy and milky but lacking fragrance and dairy aroma. Perhaps this would be an enjoyable dish for those who fancy fruity desserts but personally I don't seem to find any wow factor apart from it's enticing and kaleidoscopic visuals. The croque madame fared much better in terms of palatability, IMO. .

New to the menu, these delectable and affordable bites at The Hangar on Arab Street punch way above their weight. Check them out (clockwise from top left):
1. Halloumi Eggplant Crispies ($7+) - A big winner in every way with its mash-up of the firm, chewy cheese, crisp bread, creamy hummus and the sweet and smoky roasted eggplant.
2. Tacos (3 for $12+) - We tried an assortment which featured fillings of different meats, a beer-battered barramundi, and a vegetarian crunchy cauliflower. The steak with horseradish and the smoky pulled pork topped my list (but of course since I am an ardent meat-lover).
3. Carraway Beef Koftas ($6+) - The seasoned meatballs were truly fragrant from the spices used to season it.
4. Stuffed Feta Jalapeños ($6+) - Hot, oozy cheese and fragrant spiciness wrapped in crunchy coating never disappoints. With or without the dip, I was happy to pop these in my mouth.
Chocolate Cube Hazelnut Latte ($9), a glass of frozen chocolate cubes along side a bottle of steamed milk and hazelnut espresso, you can choose how strong you like your latte to be. Full-bodied and smooth, this makes a great perk-me-up drink. Thanks, @yongweikai for indulging us in all these dark cocoa dessert!
