Chill Places
I wasn't even hungry to begin with, but gave this place a try with my buddy. Food was so good I finished everything instinctively. We had the Creamy Chicken Tom Yum Pasta and the Pork Marinara Pasta. The sauce bases were clearly made from scratch, the fettucine was al dente...hence the empty plates.
10/10 would come back and eat even if no Burpple Beyond deal.
On another note, bud says it's 8/10. 🤷🏼‍♂️
Check it out for yourself!
And it's pretty empty on a weekday evening!
(UPDATE: It's no longer a 1-for-1. The free item can only be mango sago or some red bean thing.)
$15.90
Worth it for BB deal. Can't tell if its good souffle but the gf liked it so i guess its good. I liked the black sesame sauce and accompanying ice cream.
$16.90
Big. Finely shaved. Thai Milk Tea shavings. Cool decor (literally).
$2.80/pc
First try of this peculiar dish. Batter is crispy and filling is comfortably cheesy. Tastes like a cheesy mushrook chicken pie with a goreng pisang outer layer. A pretty good deal on Burpple Beyond, if you ask me.
Service here was excellent. We were given free samples of the roll cakes which we found to be decent and cookies which we took home to try.
Ambience: a quaint, cosy set-up with only 6 seating max.
Initially, the staff said she was new so she didnt know about the Burpple deals. However, when we turned to leave, she changed tack and said her colleague acknowledged that the deals were valid.
We ordered the Tom Yum Mama and Pineapple Fried Rice (see pic above). Both were fragrant and decent in taste. Only gripe would be that they were saltier than they ought to be.
Regardless, considering that we paid $5.90, it was a good deal.
worthy deal as i used Burpple for the $40 steak, service was good because they would keep refilling your drink for you automatically (something very simple but hardly delievered in local restaurants)
truffle fries portion is quite huge: probably for 3-4 ppl to share
I got the Thai Tea Lava Cake and the Iced Black Tea.
Cake was on the too-sweet side but a rather tasty treat for my sweet tooth.
The Iced Black Tea was milder in its sweetness which complemented the cake. It had hints of earl grey in it too.
Was looking for a place to hide from the afternoon heat so you can imagine my delight when I chanced upon this place:)
Oh, it's a halal cafe too!
