I finally had the chance to try this when I was in New York! This isn't just any fast food, it's a really good burger with a very nice taste of beef - moist sweet and fragrant, sandwiched between fluffy bun and melty savory cheese. Mine had double patty and bacon which was crispy.

I find the burger better than those in many restaurants. And better still, Shake Shack is found at many prominent locations. Good, cheap and convenient š
This is very, very good. The avocados are generously spread over sourdough, so every bite was fully of its buttery creaminess. But what I love most was that it has bouts of spicy kick, with toppings of pickled shallots, cilantro, pepitas, sesame, chilli and lime.
šø
Maybe I was missing spicy food, or maybe I was missing healthy stuffs such as avocadoes, but this certainly hit the spot for me.
So happy to have had brunch here! It was crowded when we arrived, and we waited for about 20 mins before getting a table. Rightly so, the food is pretty good, and I find that it's a refreshing change from the more sinful food I've been eating in a New York.
šø
I'll talk more about the food in another post. Thanks @itskellyjellytime for recommending, taking the time out from your exam revision, and styling this flatlay!
This steakhouse is quite good, and I could walk in for a table for a weekend lunch without reservation.

I was really happy with the price, because it would cost approx twice as much in Singapore for such a large slab of USDA prime steak. The meat was also juicy and very sweet. They shared that they actually dry age their steak themselves (for approximately 28 days) as they have their own dry aging equipment in the basement of the restaurant.
Back to office today, and it's time to shamelessly give out these Justin's as gifts to my colleagues and friends.
šø
Took me a while to find these as it isn't as common as the more popular Reese's peanut butter cups, but I found them eventually at Whole Foods. I like Justin's more as the peanut butter filling is less sweet, and it had a dark chocolate coating. It's also organic. Or maybe I'm biased lol.
Noodles craving strong. That night, I was supposed to attend a hosted official dinner, which is typically Western fine dining with wine. I excused myself from it, cos all I wanted was noodles that night.
šø
And I was happy, even though I was seated all alone at the ramen bar counter, as I watched the chefs prepare all the different food with swift but precise execution.
šø
And this ramen? It's good. Hot shoyu based broth, al dente noodles, tender and moist pork shoulder, a poached egg, and that awesome pan fried pork belly you see right there. You may not like it if you prefer creamy tonkotsu broth, if you need that Japanese lava egg and chashu, but as a bowl of noodles I'm really happy with this.
šø
The next day, they told me the food during the official dinner was really good. I kinda regretted a little.. haha. But I'm guessing I won't enjoy it if all I wanted was noodles that night.
I've always wanted to do this - just sit on the bench, a cup of cappuccino in my hand, and watch the world go by.. people strolling, jogging, cycling, and walking their dogs. Take it all in, slowly.
šø
I always see Central Park featured in the movies and I've been waiting for a chance to do that, if only I've the time to spend. And that morning, I had the time. I was at the Central Park from 9am to 12pm.
šø
I also see people sunbathing on the lawn, lots of dogs, some horses, a few babies and a turtle crossing the road. Sunny weather, clear blue skies. Beautiful day š
Momofukuās fried chicken chain opens at Wall Street last night, and it got me all excited the moment @talk19 shared the news with me. I rushed down as soon as I could after my meeting, which happened to be at the NY Fed at Wall Street.
šø
The chicken was ultra crispy, mildly spiced by habanero which I liked better than the typical red chilli spices. It might be called "spicy chicken" but it was nothing near spicy, though I've no complaints. I also liked the potato buns it came with, which was also pillowy soft.. They were slathered with ranch dressing before layering generously with crispy bacon. The interior of the patty could be juicer, but I feel that this is already a darn good fast food burger.
šø
I actually felt like having a second one now. I could walk down now since it's so near, but they are already closed.. Their opening hours are tight: 5pm to 9pm, weekdays only. Clearly only for the after-work office crowd.
