Fu Dao Home Made Satay #01-97 at Old Airport Road hawker centre. This Pork Satay ($0.40/stick, minimum 10 sticks) is tender, juicy and great value for money. It also comes crusted in black pepper, taking care to not overwhelm the sweet aromatic fragrance. Made in traditional Hainanese style, the peanut sauce pairs with the right amount of citrus from a slush of pineapple.
#01-101 BBQ Stingray. It's nothing to shout about.
#01-79 Pastries! Egg tart, honey roasted char siew and pandan SEY. I loved the SEY pastry haha. I personally still always prefer the crisp and hard biscuit like pastry for egg tarts and sweet meats aren't really my thing. But I still wanted to give them a go :)
#01-100 This is a $6 portion. It's quite avg imo. It's the wet starchy kind and the fragrance of the oysters doesn't mix into the egg :(
#01-92 Red Grouper fish soup. I like the bite of the meat. It goes really well with (I think it was) taucheo chilli sauce 😁
#01-93 I like that the yew char kueh is so crisp. Their popiah is sweeter than the stall beside them XD
#01-94 It's only $1.50 haha but it'd be better if they had garlic in their fillings too
#01-102 Yi Ji fried Hokkien mee prawn noodle definitely goes better with their power chilli. Average, I'll say.
