Juicy's Japanese Favourites
It was love at first bite with the two juicy prawns, chicken, mushroom, crabstick, long bean and baby corn all coated with crispy tempura batter and drizzled with their tendon sauce.
.
Chomped down the whole bowl of goodness and yet not feeling greasy from the fried food. Also for sauce eaters like me, I am glad to find the sauce readily available on the table for my unlimited dispense. 🙌
.
More spacious, better ventilation and less smelly like tempura compared to the other famous tendon at Tanjong Pagar, I foresee myself coming back for a second serving very soon!
.
Helmed by Chef Tan-San, the man who mastered the art of Tonkatsu and first to brought it to Singapore when he previously helmed Tonkixxx and Tampxxx many years back.
.
Even thought I didn't try the full Tonkatsu set, the pork fillet from ramen was crispy and tender without a hint of grease. Now that rekindled my love for Tonkatsu.
.
No-frills, comforting and bears resemblance to mum's cooking.
.
I am not out for some fanciful mother's day dinner because the dining crowd is simply too horrible to withstand. As long as I fulfill my duties on a daily basis, such occasions are just simply commercialized.
.
Made from 'bread-in-a-can' and paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with yuzu sauce, this homemade dessert brings warmth to my heart as well as my tummy.
.
The 'bread-in-a-can' are even available in different flavours and can be purchase off vending machines in Japan. Such an eye-opener to 'suaku' me. 😲
Would you prefer sliced 🐟 or cubed 🐟? #weeatfish
.
Probably one of the more pocket-friendly chirashidon around. But I certainly wouldn't mind topping up for a mountain of raw fish.
