Only In Taiwan
Overall, I felt the bananas needed more rum.
The staff strongly recommended it. The pastry was rather hard to break through but the custard was oh so yummy.
Egg custard 🍳! It's rather mini, at NT35 each. Interesting idea but I prefer a more substantial portion.
Please ignore me in my pink sleepwear which consists of my very comfy @burpple tee and @uniqlosg Relaco pants.
I'm flying back to Singapore today but I will miss my pleasant stay at Cityinn Hotel Taipei Station Branch 1. The rooms are great and service staff extremely friendly! 😊
I found my duck candy floss 🐤at Raohe Night Market! This costs NT100.
Apparently this stall appeared on TV before and people specially make a trip down just to try it.
Really bad decision to order ramen in Taiwan, after having really good ones in Japan. The chashu was so thin that I finished a third of my noodles and it was all gone. Wasn't too impressed by the noodles itself. Sad.
They have a few interesting hot and iced chocolate flavours, but I thought to try something more local.
The pineapple chocolate doesn't come with a hot option (I'm not sure why), but the subtle taste of the pineapple goes really well with the rich and smooth chocolate.
Mala Yuanyang Hotpot at Ximending has good reviews online and it was packed when we got there. There was a waiting list, but we managed to get a seat after 30 minutes.
You get to choose two out of five types of beef or pork. The funny thing is that the seafood and chicken here are free flow! And so are the Haagen Dazs and Movenpick ice cream!
A plate of pasta costs NT150, equivalent to about SGD$7. If I were to dine at this price at Singapore Zoo, it will probably be at the food court and not at a cafe/ restaurant.
This cafe overlooks the panda enclosure and you can see the pandas (mainly sleeping).
There are many flavours and we chose Curry and Salt & Pepper. Both tasted equally good!
