Great as a quick after lunch/dinner dessert, the pops are made with real fruits and comes in a variety of flavours to suit everyone. The Kiwi flavour is definitely for those who love sour flavours, Earl Grey Pistachio comes with an extra sprinkling of pistachios for a little texture with each bite. My personal favourite is the Stinky Durian, couldn’t resist getting it to try when I saw it in the display.😋
Can’t seem to get the song "Do you see what i see” by Mark Seymour every time I see this brand. >.

Deconstructed desserts are usually associated with fine(r)-dining, but Lola's now offers a small variety of plated desserts. Ranging from just $7 to $10, these lovely treats taste as good as they look! Go for the beautifully caramelised French Toast ($9) or the Odd Fellow ($7), a refreshing combination of zippy passion fruit curd and basil ice cream.

Tucked away on the second floor of Tanjong Pagar Plaza, this homely little Thai dessert café decked out in wood and Thai-themed ornaments is a lovely spot to relax with a sweet treat. It serves a wide variety of sweets like the classic Mango Sticky Rice ($6.00), but it is the unique gems like the Jasmine Jelly ($4.50) that you should really try. This humble-looking jelly sits atop shaved ice, and other condiments such as red ruby and tapioca pearls, providing a chewy bite against the soft, yielding jelly. For a light tea-time snack, go for their steamed bread served with a variety of dips, such as the Steamed Bread with Durian dip ($5) — the potent flavour of the fruit is carried by a creamy, smooth spread that really is quite irresistible.

One of the cheapest and best Shibuya Toasts around — the toast is so buttery, it lingers on your lips for days (in a good way, of course). Go for their Mango or Coconut ones!

That's how much each tart costs when you get a box of eight of these silky smooth beauties for $9! Don't bother wondering if you can really finish all 8. They'll be gone in a flash.

After a short pop-up stint at Junction 8, Jenny Bakery has finally opened its doors in Singapore (their very first outpost, we're so flattered!) in the heartlands of Ang Mo Kio. For those of you who've had the privilege of tasting a Jenny Bakery cookie before, it's certain you know just how crumbly these babies are. For those who haven't, either get in that queue or hope that someone in that queue likes you a lot, and is planning to pick one up for you. Go for the 4 Mix Butter Cookies which comes with Hard Butter, Coffee, Raisin, and Oat flavours, and decide which you like best ($25 for 320g tin, $45 for 640g tin). Directly flown out of its factory in Hong Kong, these butter bombs command a fairly ridiculous queue, so come early — they sell out fast!

True to its cheeky name, Non Entrée Desserts is a new café on Rangoon Road that serves all things dessert. It occupies the spot of now-defunct Woodshed, and is vibrantly decked out in bright yellow, white and black. Expect a fun menu of plated desserts that are intricately designed, both in terms of flavour and aesthetics. Be sure to try the Cherry Pop ($13.90) — a giant "cherry" that will create a little carnival in your mouth thanks to boisterous elements like the spicy, sour cherry sorbet and earl grey jelly. For something simple but lovely, go for the Pistachio Raspberry ($8.90) cake, which sees a perfect marriage of berries and nuts. Pop by with a friend or two (so you can sample more) after a good meal in the area!

Warm chocolate lava cake using Valrhona 70% cocoa, atop a thin layer of crunchy almond nougatine.

To trigger the "avalanche", cut through the lava cake and watch the gooey chocolate flow onto the orange-infused vanilla ice-cream & chocolate soil.

The citrus-flavoured vanilla ice cream added a refreshing dimension to the bittersweet chocolate. And oh, I absolutely adore the crunchy, nutty almond nougatine!
