This humble spot located along the popular Jalan Petaling currently conquers the street with fresh, creative ideas executed through their food and drinks. For starters, their signature Rose Honey Milk Tea is served in a classic tea cup and topped with rose petals. Big breakfast lovers can indulge in their "Eat Die Me" (RM26), where cheese-baked tomatoes and corn make their debut on the classic big breakfast platter. Their Asian menu is not to be missed where the Hongkie Beef Stew — slow-cooked beef over mash and gravy— is a current crowd favourite (RM18).

A new dessert cafe hits Subang Jaya with a clean, white interior and a front door knob you can't miss! Located next to Sumo Japanese restaurant, this cafe is the dream of food photographers who love white-themed shots. Other than their expertise in coffee making, they specialise in desserts like the Cinnamon Cereal Crunch Dessert Pizza (RM14) and also savoury pies at RM15. Milkshake lovers should order the Flower Pot Lavender Latte Milkshake (RM13) for something creative!

This restaurants manages to simultaneously be both rustic and modern in ambience, and serves pastries, cakes and breads. Go for the Vanilla Slice paired with green tea for a decadent treat after a long day. If you're a pastry-lover, the sight and smell of this bakery might just take you to heaven and back. Kenny Hills has taken on a serious repetoire of bakes — from bagels and breads to tarts, scones, quiches, pies and pastries. They have, arguably, the best croissant in town (RM6), especially when they're warmed. Also grab some of their to-die-for peanut butter to take home!

Just as its name suggests, this place gives you full control over what kind of burger you'd like to build. For burger purists, it might come as a shock that you're even allowed to swap your burger buns for salad, but for the health-conscious, this might just be heaven-sent. With the ability to please just about anyone, this is one of those spots for a group of friends gathering for a meal. Halal-certified beef is also available for our Muslim friends!

Perfect for the times when you just can't decide exactly where to go, this is a spot that caters to both an "eastern" or "western" experience. They serve all-day western breakfasts such as Turkey Cranberry Sandwich (RM19.90), or the Bacon and Egg Bagel (RM14.90). On the eastern front, you can dishes like nasi lemak rendang, Japanese bento set and more! Keep a lookout on their Facebook page for what they have to offer.

Make your way to Two Sons Bistro in Solaris Dutamas on one of these rainy days for a comforting meal. Start off by sharing a pot full of mussels (RM28) to warm that tummy up. If you're in the mood for splurging, go for their juicy steaks! Their Linguine Vongole (RM28) served with fresh clams will also satisfy. They also do familiar dishes such as the seabass served with Chinese-style vegetables and rice, which can't help but remind you of home (RM28).

Kota Damansara recently welcomed another coffee spot — the Rebellions. This place comes off as one that primarily specializes in coffee, but fret not, they also have tea, chocolate and cakes! Go for their black or white cold brew which is served in a whisky-like glass bottle for a cooling caffeine hit (RM13). Pair that with a slice of their daily supply of cakes to satisfy that sweet tooth!
