Tucked away in the corners of Sin Ming, this is definitely a good healthy alternative for ice cream. Get 3 scoops of 50-140 cal goodness (vs. the normal 300-500 per scoop) for 9 bucks. Waffle was rather flaky though, might not want to get it. Still, it's worth a try!

This is damn good. No residue flavor of 'ice cream', almost like a coconut 'sorbet', very fresh and creamy. Find them at B2 of Plaza Singapura, beside Each A Cup!

Not a new item but still one of my favourite desserts and probably my favourite place for Acai. Really love the generous portion and the eclectic blend of fruits, granola, and Acai Berry mix. Latest offering available is a pint of their Lazy Acai Sorbet at just $10 (U.P. $14.90). Come try if you haven't already!

Compared to awfully chocolate's "hei", Godiva's soft serve is less rich, but still has that intensity that you get from good chocolate.

A box of 10 of eclairs from L'eclair by Sarah Michelle. Featuring 3 of their CNY special flavours - Pineapple Tart, Black Sesame, Pork Floss - I found the black sesame to be the best tasting; the other two were interesting but I might not get it again :p for more normal flavours try the Vanilla or Salted Caramel, and if you like flowery flavours get the Ispahan, one of their best sellers.
"That's the sad thing about Hazelnut; you can't get away without being compared to Ferrero Rocher or Kinder Bueno," says Anna.

The Ispahan - a combination of Rose, Lychee, Raspberry - looked really pretty, with the flavours coming out subtly. I particularly enjoyed the rose cream. Only issue with the eclairs here is that its pretty pricey :/ but I guess the quality and the classy layout shows in the price tag.

The Lemon Meringue - Lemon curd, Meringue, Lime zest shavings - however was the main standout for me as I usually avoid lemon meringue because of the overtly sour lemon curd. The one here at L'eclair makes me compromise on my preference as the combination of the soft and airy meringue together with the light lemon curd gave a great mix of sweet and sour flavours. Compared to the others, this is one of the cheaper selections. A definite must try.

Don't be fooled by its size, this chocolate sorbet is extremely thick and gao and filling! The chocolate taste is really heavy and would be a total delight for all chocolate lovers. I'm not that much of a chocolate lover but I really liked the intensity and the plainness of the chocolate, no strings attached kinda feeling. A decent scoop to get if you want some dessert before or after your movie date!

Was intrigued by the look of this Bola and the manner in which it was to be consumed - you're supposed to wrap it up in the plastic and use a mallet to smash it into consumable pieces. Before the fanfare of breaking the ball apart, I tried the chocolate sauce which was extremely thick and lovely. Was given an extra big portion just by asking so don't be afraid to ask ;) Was let down by the crispy interior that was a bit too oily for my liking and made the dish quite gelat. It reminded me of the 黄金 we have during Lo Hei though lol. Was slightly better when consumed together with the chocolate sauce.

Decided to try the green tea version of Lady M's signature Mille Crepe. I remember not liking the original flavor as I found it too milky and creamy. While this was also creamy, the green tea powder and taste came out and blended nicely, and although the flavor can be quite strong and sweet, it was not overwhelming. The texture of this crepe is also great, as you can bite off and segregate it layer by layer, a testament to the toil and effort that went into preparing this cake. I would say that it paid off. Because of the good portions and also it's branding, I am not so hard on the slightly steep pricing.

First thought at purchase: Project Acai raised their price by 1 dollar from 13.50 due to the strengthening of the USD?
Anyhow with that aside, I was really looking forward to see how big the Large Acai bowl was - and boy was it huge! This was shared between 2 guys and a girl and it was still very filling. Portions wise, this was definitely sufficient. In terms of taste, I really love the mix of fruits that gave an eclectic mix of fibre flavours. Most importantly, the acai berry blend was really refreshing; it was chilly and cooling. There's nothing tangible that I can compare the acai to, but it had a thick flavour with a slushy texture. Big plus that its a healthy dessert option! A nice addition to the Holland Village cluster that I greatly appreciate :)

"I love eating. But I hate getting fat. I love eating. But I only want to eat the best. I love eating. But I'm reluctant to spend too much." The above are a few paradoxes that describe my love-hate relationship with food. Yet at the same time they define my principles for choosing the places which I love to eat: 1) Hearty 2) Tasty 3) Worthy (of my money)
