Cafes In Singapore
The best part of the meal? The fries, then followed by the burger. Maybe coz I had such a good hamburg steak recently. I would make a trip back here for the fries and yes of course, the ambience.
What an interesting thing, grilled cake. Anyway it's just like any other sponge cake that came with a delicious scoop of caramel ice cream. Great accompaniment with their bitter coffee.
Coffee is perfect at Ronin, not the bitter sort. On a hot day a minty mocha is a sure hit.
A trip to Ikea brought me to The Bakehouse located nearby. A cup of coffee and cake costs $12.50. Apart the the price tag, it's a quaint little place to hang out. A lovely cup of flat white without being overly bitter and a delicious moist carrot cake worth the calories!
Anything with lemon keeps me happy though this is certainly not the most sour that I have found.
Surprised by the price hike though... #sgfood #oldschool #breakfast #eggs #coffee #toast #burpple #thegaldines

Been to Curious Palette 3 times in a week, so longer curious for me! Had dinner here and sampled their Beef Cheek in Cous Cous. A dish with the potential to be heavy on the palette ended up quite a light and nourishing meal.
Spam has never been something I would go for. But this is something quite delicious to chomp. Spam Fries anyone?
Located in a quite corner at the Capitol Piazza is Oriole Cafe. Perfect for hanging out on a Saturday. Was more impressed with the main meal like the warm salad made of spinach and portobello mushroom.
In my first visit to Curious Palette I had the crab burger which I thought was on the dry side. I would have preferred it with some form of wetter carb or more sauce. The smoked salmon with eggs on sourdough toast was great. And the flat coffee was almost perfect and not acidic. Lovely place to hang out, with its natural lighting, hanging plants and natural woods. A move away from industrial themed style cafes.
