Great ambience for chilling, hiding from the sun and genius use of recycled vintage items.

The only happy thing about this meal. Burger was too tiny, chicken was meh, and we spotted tiny cockroaches running around UGH

Yet another beach. Other than sunset dining, this is a much cheaper alternative! About $2.50 for beer and get chair rental for free (or you can also rent a chair if you don't buy their drinks). Bintang is the most common beer around. Tried their radler which seems much sweeter. Today: perfect sunset, beer in hand, good company - best feeling ever.

Pretty decent food and coffee, friend said mojito wasn't strong enough but one-for-one so about $3.50! They've got western, local fares, pizza and small bites. Good place to chill.

Things to do here: sunset dining!! Seafood we had were so-so not cheap but the experience was good. Traditional performances, buskers, food.

Dinner at random stall, turned out to be quite shiok although it's only mee goreng (pretty sure it's instant noodle) with crispy onion bits which I hate but tasted good here. Kangkung. Ayam Goreng (fried chicken) which everyone loved. Orange juice (tasted like tangerine so that was something different) - all for only $3!

On the way to Kukup, had this in JB. Choice of soup or dry - kuay teow looked like it was of really small portion but the highlight was the soup! So much ingredients for its price RM7 - fishcake, fish ball, minced meat, pork liver & kidney (liver was awesome!! Kidney on the other hand stank - probably not prepared properly) in a flavourful soup. I was hungry but couldn't finish it. BUT! I FORGOT THE SHOP NAME😱

Shaped like angkukueh! Has different fillings in the agar agar, this has red bean. Yum. (Our backyard's a mangrove swamp!!)

Where we spent our last hours in Bintan! Got to choose 4 toppings (beef pepperoni, mushroom, and I can't rmb what) I liked that it was cheeeeeesy but the crust wasn't good. ($17?)

Most expensive food during my short 3d2n trip to Bintan (stayed at Nirwana Beach Club, shabby looking huts but good enough cos we weren't in our rooms most of the time). Can't rmb but about $38?! It's actually a 3-tier bento, super cute. Food was actually not bad, just pricey. My fried salmon was surprisingly good.
