Don't be taken in by the unassuming facade. The Ipoh-born and raised chef-owner of this "zi char" eatery produces dishes that are homely but delicious. For instance, his signature Fish Head Curry is so well balanced with spices and coconut milk, we couldn't stop spooning up the curry to drink. I found the fish head to be a little on the small side but was happy with the generous amount of vegetables and paper-thin "tau kee" (dried beancurd skin).
