I just knew I would love this cake the moment I heard its name. And sweep me off my feet it did, with its rich cheese infused with melted down nougat and peanut butter, topping of Snickers chunks, and drizzling of homemade caramel. Only improvement I'd suggest is more butter in the digestive biscuit base.
Start with the beautifully cooked sous vide octopus salad, and tuck into either the pork belly or the duck confit puff for decadent mains. Jean Teo describes Spathe as having '... such a great vibe and ambiance for friends catchup and romantic dinners.'
Sitting innocently along Kampong Bahru, you'll find amazingly healthy cakes and sandwiches made with natural, high-quality ingredients and no preservatives. Go for a mushroom Clubman sandwich, jam-packed with flavour and healthy goodness in fluffy bread. Don't leave without trying at least one slice of their signature cakes - Chocolate Trovana, New York Cheesecake and the fluffy Hokkaido rolls. You might like them so much you'll even buy a whole cake! Oh, pick up a jar of their kaya on your way out as well.
These stuffed French toast with berries and mascarpone is a sweet treat coated in cornflakes and doused in chocolate sauce. At $18 it is rather pricey, but it is a great option when at MBS, and makes up for it in decadence.
It's may be a little pricey, but this dish is really quite something else -- $22 for 3 thick, fluffy brioche slices dripping in salted caramel sauce and coated in crunchy cornflakes for texture. Topped with salted caramalized bananas, berries and vanilla ice cream, it has the perfect balance of salty and sweet. This is a sinful dish of pure decadence, please, please share.
At $12.90, this amazing Waffles Stacko is truly a steal. A great choice when you're in the town area, this simple cafe is great for indulging in ice cream and hot, crispy waffles. Perfect for students and groups of friends, get a nice big stack to share! If you're a small party, go for the Sinfully Chocolate or the Merry Berry.
Although slightly pricier than a usual cafe, it's easy to understand why. It's always a privilege to be able to spend your Saturday morning watching horses in a vast green expanse, while digging into a refreshing bowl of bircher museli and fresh berries. Coming to Riders is always a nice treat after a week of hardwork.
Loysel's Toy by Papa Palheta is one of those places you never would expect to find in a warehouse at Kampong Bugis, but it's a lovely place for breakfast, brunch or tea. With excellent coffee and a simple but wholesome menu, Loysel's is just an awesome place to chill.
While quickly becoming a coffee institution, CSHH still manages to be a cosy space. The gorgeously modified industrial-chic interior of this old hardwarestore provides the perfect setting for enjoying a good cup of coffee. If you'refeeling adventurous, give their galvanized ale a try- literally coffee beer. It's strangely good!
