A brand new cafe on the block, what's best is that they're Muslim-owned ;) See what Burppler Daniel has to say "Awesome food paired with travel adventures in this 2-day old café. I love the laid-back hippy vibe and the fact that there's no pressure to finish our food, unlike other hipster cafe where there's a constant line. Really hoping that this cafe won't be packed the next time I visit" #rouseondunlop
I feel that this is the best place for desserts! Especially love their combinations of sweet and salted. What's better is that it's halal!
Burppler Amalina highly recommends this fairly new Halal cafe! She says "This is banoffee pavlova with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It is awesome, the pavlova simply melts in your mouth. There are other desserts as well, such as cupcakes and tarts. All are worth trying, I promise! Highly recommended!"
Want a simple, affordable, tasty bowl of pho? This is just the spot. With so few places getting pho right, it's nice to have a decent selection of beef and chicken pho to count on. Perfect for a healthy, soulful meal, start with the beef salad and the spring rolls! *Halal-certified
And All Things Delicious is Tolido's Espresso Nook's newest neighbour, which offers a wide variety for halal-certified bakes such as Gula-Melaka Scones, Brownies and Galettes. The baker insists on using unprocessed ingredients such as unsalted butter organic ingredients so as to make their bakes taste more "natural" and it shows; clean yet flavourful treats indeed. They also share their shop space with Fictive Fingers that does pretty decent handprinted textile designs, if anyone is interested.
Known for their cakes and pies, The Royals Cafe has been around for a while now, and is a safe bet for affordable food that satisfies. Go for their most popular dish, Mee Siam, with fragrant hints of lemongrass, and lime that brightens it up. End off your meal with a slice of the Chocolate Truffle cake if you're feeling indulgent!
Immediately putting you at ease with it's homey ambience, this is the kind of place you should bring your friends and family to over the weekend. Go for the super tasty Couscous Royale and their unique take on Roasted Chicken. Finish off with a some Moroccan mint tea and sweet pastries!
Do Hungarian Goulash, Notre Roast Halibut, La Poella Mixta sound familiar to you? We think not. Eazy Eazy is probably one of the first halal restaurants serving up these delcious, fancy meals. It is indeed a pleasure when food tastes as good as it looks. Priced so affordably, what's not to love? End your meal with their waffles, which comes with two scoops of ice cream. Utterly decadent and completely worth the calories.
