Been There, Done That...
That mountain of fish makes it one of the most value for money kaisendon's available in Singapore.
Wonderful crackling... That crunch... Oooh!
This is probably the fifth time cafehoppingsg is raving about Commune cafe, probably because they simply deserve the praise for their wonderfully crafted cakes, cookies and coffee. With extremely affordable prices, you should just try everything on display, and don't miss out on their Caramel Latte. Pop by for a break if you're at Millenia Walk!
7 of us shared the biggest portion available ($30). The salty Sio Bak complements the rich hokkien mee. Definitely worthy a revisit!
Incredibly spacious and conveniently located in Lasalle College of the Arts, this is a good spot for working in groups in a vibrant atmosphere. Great for grabbing wallet-friendly light bites for lunch or tea time, or evening drinks with a cold cider, you can come here anytime. They sometimes hold events and live performances here in the evenings, so do check out the schedule before you head down! Photo by Charlene Tan
Really good food and an intimate ambiance makes for a perfect date night. Cicheti (Chi-keh-tee), located along Kandahar St, serves perfect woo-fired pizzas and hearty pastas. Have the Bruschetta to start, then move in the Bismarck, a crispy pizza topped with a gorgeous runny egg, the pappardelle ragu, and the delectable ciopino. The ambiance just right, not too stiff and not too casual, with excellent service.
The French toast at Maison Ikkoku is served either with fresh berries, or sea salt caramel. Two large pieces of toast drenched generously with sea salt caramel, topped with roasted walnuts, caramelised bananas and mascarpone cream cheese with a cinnamon-coated orange. If you like sweet desserts, this will be perfect for sharing!
While located on a busy road, Assembly Coffee manages to remain a lovely little nook full of natural light and good vibes. You'll feel instantly transported in this cosy hideout, complete with good coffee from Liberty beans. Treat yourself to a fluffy Salted Caramel Waffle while reading your favourite book.
